So beautiful and taken far too soon.
Oh, yes. This is so devastating to me. I was waiting for her for so long and got attached even before I brought her home and then had to say goodbye on the third week of having her. FIP progressed so fast.
Alfie was I'll for a very short time too! It is a wicked disease that devastates everyone that comes into contact with it. Every time I read about another kitten going to the bridge because of FIP just makes the tears flow.
She was my first cat.... :'(
Oh how sad for you. That's terrible. They are such loving creatures.
Alfie was my 7th I think. I know you won't feel up to it yet but please don't let it put you off giving another kitten a loving home. When my other cats have died it hurts but you don't expect them to outlive you, so it's the natural way and then you never forget them. When a young kitten is struck down be FIP it is the most devastating experience. To watch them and the helplessness of not being able to save them. I begged, pleaded and prayed for a miracle for Alfie but it wasn't granted. If love alone could have kept him alive he would have lived to be at least 100 years old.
There are a lot of kitties who live a long time without love or warmth or shelter. Both Alfie and Osinka knew what it was like to be loved and cared for in their short lives. I hold onto that thought because I it gives me comfort because I know it's true.
Thank you! I really (!!!!) appreciate it.
WE have felt the effects of FIP in our family twice now both me and my sisterful Booboo are here are the bridge. I am so sorry for your loss, yes it is so true what Alfie said and it is so good little Osinka had a chance and a loving home and family before going to the bridge with FIP, purring for a vaccine and a cure.
What a lovely and special little kitty!
Thank you for all your support and comments!
Yes we know that feeling too. That dreaded thing does progress so fast. Mommy still cries fur me, it's jus' something we feel so helpless against. No cure, no preventative. It's true what Alfie says 'n what Alley Cat Angel says~! Osinka had a chance 'n a furry lovin' home, all you could do for a gorgeous kitty~! The chance for love. That is what counts. Mom sheds big horse tears fur all da furbabies dat face dis FIP rough stuff. Mom also helped me to the bridge after my 5th birthday. It was all she could do to help me stop the suffering. We're also purrin' fur a cure 'n vaccine. We're so glad to see you have opened your heart to another sweet kitty to love.
Purrs 'n love...
