I have a very happy tummy. Daddy grilled chicken......and burgers....and made bacon on the side for the burgers tonight. I hear my parents all the time telling people I'm really a dog in a cat suit!! I did notice that Talli sparked a little interest in the bacon. I don't know about this "sharing" thing. I like my food too much!

Boo Boo and the prescription mishap

Greetings furriends (current and future)!

Boy oh boy, are my parents so happy of the response they have received from me and Talli signing on to Catster. Thank you all for being such wonderful furriends!

My mommy had an ugly visit at the vet last week - I needed more medicine (I take 5mg of Methimazole for my hyperthyroidism)- and after confirming with the doctor a few days prior that they had my pills in stock, my mommy showed up and they were only willing to give her a week's worth. I have been on this medicine for quite some time now, and my mommy usually comes home with a bottle of 100 pills. To make a long story short, the vet gave my mommy the wrong pills, ran out to the parking lot to find her, and once she found her, the vet had to run back in the store and obtain the CORRECT pills. While my mommy sat in her car in the parking lot for nearly 20 minutes waiting, the vet came outside and provided a paper prescription that she was to get filled at her local pharmacy because the vet DID NOT have the Methimazole that they promised.

What a nuissance! Of course, my mommy can only think of the "What If" circumstances - but I've been going to the same vet for 8 years! It is only just recently that they changed management, and I see my mommy getting frustrated with them. The last time we were there my mommy told the doctor that she was disappointed with them (calling me a "she" when I'm a "he", and having to ask me if I'm a cat or dog - isn't it in my file?!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr).

I have to go in to get blood taken so the doctor can check my thyroid levels. I'm scared because of what my mommy has been going through with the vet lately, but I know she loves me and won't let anything bad happen to me.

We shall see what happens and will keep all the furriends posted!

Greetings fellow felines. My mommy found this website over the weekend while she was reading over an animal magazine from the Human Society. She read some of the stories and fell in love with the idea immediately. I feel like such an old man that it is too late in life to be involved in that whole "social networking" nonsense. But, because my mommy loves me so much, I figured I would let her.

I will be sure to add my life story in the coming days because I have a lot to tell. For starters, I've had a lot of health issues over the past 5 years (I'm very greatful to have had cat insurance, otherwise, my mommy probably would have had to resolved to something drastic!), but right now, I feel ok (just old).

My mommy is always carrying around some metal-looking device and hovering around me with it while I'm trying to sleep. I think she's taking pictures, but I just squint and stretch. She will probably add some of these cute pictures of me in the near future as well.

I look forward to meeting other cats of all breeds and age!
