Smokey's Stories

Exploring

I'm sneaky, all of my humans tell me so. As soon as someone opens the door just a crack I run out to go exploring! I don't go very far and I usually only stay out for a couple of hours, but it's so fun! I like to smell all of the new scents and maybe catch a mouse or two. Now that it's getting nicer outside I can be out and not freeze. Sometimes when I want to come in I go to the back deck and sit in the window sooner or later one of the humans see me and come running to let me in! I love the control I have over them!

It's a Jungle in here

Everywhere I look there are plants. Fake plants, real plants, hanging plants, potted plants every kind of plant you could think of. So, you'd think with soooo many plants in the house the humans would want me to eat them so that we don't get over-run. But Noooooo, I'm only allowed to eat one puny little-bity potted plant called catnip. I don't think it's very fair. They taunt us with all of these plants and then only give us a tiny bit to eat. I think I'm going to start a protest. I wonder if my brothers will join. I know the big black cat wont' join because she gets to go outside and eat mud and grass and plants all she wants. I'm going to jump on top of the fridge as part of my protest. I'm going to fast until I can eat all of the plants without discrimination!

About Me

Well I'm a real explorer! Infact, right now I am jumping on the top of the TV cabinet, it's pretty high, maybe I can get one of my humans, Shelle to take a picture of me up there! I also love to jump on top of the refridgerator and then up on top of all of the cabinets. My humans always talk loudly to me when I am up there, and make weird hand motions. They must think I am hard of hearing and going blind, I just look at them and smile.
I have an older brother, Samson, and a younger brother Snuffy. Samson is sometimes afraid (of everything) so I try to rough him up and play fight with him. But he always lets me win.
Sometimes I am allowed to go outside. When I go out I like to hunt. I like to catch voles and mice and bring them to the deck. I think my humans really like when I do that.
My humans recently got a HUGE black cat for some reason. She tries to chase us so we just hide places that she can't go!
OK well I'm tired of dictating from the top of the TV cabinet, more next time!
