Hazel B & Farrah J's pawrents named a geocache after me! They even put my picture in there :)

Their Mom hid it today. When someone finds the cache (using GPS) they sign the logbook and then return it to the cache. They can take an item (trinket) from the cache if they would like - but they have to make sure to leave something of equal or greater value in its place. When they are finished, they are to put the Zoey cache back exactly as they found it. Finally, they visit the cache page to log their find and share their experience with others.

Wonder who all will find the Zoey Cache??

Some peeps put a geo-cache in the bushes outside our pawrent's bookstore. They came in and told them since they didn't want the Mama and Papa to freak about what they were hiding in their bushes! So far a couple of peeps have found it. We haven't seen what is in it, since none of us do the geo-caching.

Hi Rose, Samhain and Sleeper! I think it is cool I get to be apart of this too!

Sleeper neat that some peeps put one outside your pawrent's bookstore. And told you about it first. MOL! Good idea! Fun to watch people use GPS to find it. The things inside might keep changing as people can take a trinket out and put one back in. Can your pawrents see what the name of the cache is? If it is a box/container it would probably be labeled on the outside of it. I could look it up and see what info is on it.

Your pawrents live in a good area for geocaching with all the land around. Hazel B & Farrah J showed me some other neat things they are going to hide like a log, a lizard etc. Things that blend right in.

Sounds very cool - so how does the GPS find it? Is the address published somewhere? I always feel so out of it!

Hi Lottie!

This is all new to me too so all good questions. The person who puts together the cache and hides it also figures the coordinates of where they are hiding it and adds that to their acct page on Then people that are in or going to that area use those coordinates on their phone apps or other device to find the cache. It is like a treasure hunt!

I hope I an explaining it correctly as we only do thru hazel and Farrah's mom! MOL!

The Mama says she will try to remember to see if there are markings on the outside of the cache. The Papa says he's seen it, and it's a purple tube, but he doesn't remember any markings and hasn't looked inside.
