Mama bought me and the Peekster these cool new ID tags. They are called barkcodes (www.barkcode dot com). They have these thingies called QR codes that celler phones can read. You do not even have to have a smart phone; any celler phone will work. We got the smaller taggies for kitties, and they were not even very spensive.
Peekie's taggie is Peekaboo pink with a white heart on the front. Mine is dark blue with a white paw print, and it says "Help Me Home." Kinda cool...
Today mama went to the webbysite and claimed our codes and made us profile pages. It tooked awhile cuz there is lotsa infomashuns to enter, but now our profile pages are all done. Mama told both me and the Peekster she hopes nobuddy ever has to use em, but she thinks it is just an extra protekshun. Peekie and I both have microchips, but the little taggies might be easier for somebuddy to use if we got lostered and they found us.
If ya ever wear a collar or harness when you are travelerin, check it out and see what ya think.

Today mama came back from the mailer box with a brown packaj. Inside was a sparkly pink dress. I knew that costoom was not mine, so I tried to be pashunt until mama got the nuther stuff out. Sides the pink dress there was a white satin collar with a black bow tie. Pretty spiffy. There was a black cape with a stand-up red collar and trim. Both those nuther things are mine. Mama let me try em on. The cape was sorta skary. It was kinda small, like for scrawny kitties, not a mancat like me, so mama foldered down the collar, and then I liked it better. Mama decidered to get me used to wearin the cape by doin treats. For some reason (MOL) mama always thinks I would be the one to get lost, so she trained me to come and sit up for treats. She keeps tellin daddy that if I ever akserdently got outside, she could call me with a treat, and I would come to her and sit, and then she could grab me. I do not know if that is true, but I will do it in the house. Mama called me, sayin "Gunnarr, come." I came to her and waited. Then she said "sit." I did. Then she said "up," and I sat up on my hinder leggies. Then she gave me a lishus treat. We did that a few times, and pretty soon I forgot I had my cape on. Do not tell mama, but I did not mind the cape much, but I know how to get extra treats!

Ummmmmmm, I think summer in Big Sky Country is over. Mama sez there are some cold fronts comin down from Canada, and they will be here in the next coupla days. Thanks, Canadian friends, for makin today probly the last time mama has to mow the lawn. Anyway, today it is bout 80, tomorrow it will be bout 60, and Wednesday mama sez the high will be 40! The weatherman is sayin rain and even some snow. We do not want snow at our house, but it would be real nice if it snowed in the mountains and helped put out the forest fires. The nuther night mama akshly thought our neighbors had a fire in their fire pit in the back yard, but it smelled like a giant campsterfire everywhere round here. It was smoke from all the fires. The clouds came rollin in and trapped all the smoke, and it still smelled like a giant campsterfire the next mornin.
Peekie and I might get a few more stroller rides, but are glad we got our blueberry bed to snuggle in. The last few nights I have been pawin at mama in the middler of the night so she will let me under the covers. See, sumtimes Peekie steals the blueberry bed in the middler of the night, and I get kinda chilly. If I paw hard enuff, mama lifts up the covers. Then I go underneath, turn around, and snuggle right next to mama. She pets me under the covers for awhile until I get too warm, and then I slink up and outta the top of the covers. Course, if I get chilly again, I do the same thing however many times I need to each night. Sumtimes I think mama does not fully preshiate my snugglin, but she lets me back under the covers anyway.
Peekie and I supervised mama and grampster yesterday when they put the air condishuner to bed for the season, and then we helped mama when she harvested our catnipshun plant again. Mama sez we got enuff nip for an army now, but she hates to waste it. Peekie and I got nipped on the reject stems and the not-so-perfect leaves that mama did not put in the thingie to dry.

I got my first punkin of the season from Miss Kaci Sunshine, so I guess it is gettin to be fall. The trees are turnin colors, and sumtimes in the nighttime I get underneath the covers with mama.
When fall comes, that means Howl-ween is not far off. Mama thinks I did not see her with the chickie hat in her hand, but I did. Maybee instead of a photo shoot for Howl-ween, mama could use the new camcorder for makin videos of me and the Peekster runnin away when she tries to put the chickie hat on us.
Oh, now mama sez maybee the Peekster can be the chickie, and I can wear Missy Mups' devil horns. Ummmmm...that might not be so bad. Mama sez the devil horns are red with sparkles.

Jeepers, I got lotsa pirate flaggies wavin on my page. Thanks to all the kitties and pups who gave me those awesome flags! Mama was not home for most of the day yesterday, so the Peekster and I sailed our pirate ships. My ship is called the Revenge, and I am the Commander. My crew is made up of loyal tabbies, and they are terrific sailer cats. We sailed and sailed to a far away island. When we weighed anchor, we went ashore and found a treasure chest! It was fulla catnip and kitty treats and all kindsa cool stuff. Cuz it was gettin late, we sailed home, dividered our plunder, and left the Revenge in a sheltered cove. I was napsterin on the ottermun when mama got home, and she did not even know bout my adventure.
On anuther subject, I wanna pollergize bout not gettin my thank-yous out when I kept gettin DDP's. It was bout the same time Peekie was Kitty of the Week, and we were gettin ready to go on vacashun. We had three vacashuns right in a row, and mama could not find enuff time to help both me and the Peekster come to Catster and send our notes of thanks.
We are both so grateful to have such wonderful friends. We just hope you can forgive us. If you can, we pawmise it won't happen again, even if we have to poke mama with a real sharp stick. Maybee we would even have to let daddy do the laundry or somethin. Ooh, that could be danjrus...

The Peekster and I have started a nuther adventure here in beeeeeutiful Virgelle, Montana. We got to cross the Missouri River on the Virgelle ferry. The Peekster thought mama and daddy were lettin us ride a fairy, but they are not real. After we got here, the Peekster hided under one of the beds for awhile, but then she got too kurius and started eksplorin.
After dinner, Garfy showed up, but mama and daddy could not let him stay. Mama always feels bad cuz she sez he is very cute, but he probly does not got no shots, and he probly does got fleas. Anyway, Peekie and I do not get to play with Garfy.
Later just bout dark, mama and daddy were sittin on the porch relaxin. They heard a terbl kitty cat noise. Mama thought it was a strange sound to be comin from me. Mama got up and found Garfy right at the screen door all mad and wantin to hurt the Peekster. Peekie was just sittin there lookin at Garfy and wonderin why he was bein so mean. Mama and daddy made a buncha loud noise so Garfy would go home, and then they comed inside and closed the door.
Now we are relaxin inside and waitin to see if the coyotes will sing for us tonight.
Tomorrow mama and daddy promise we can go strollin round Virgelle.

Hey, everbuddy; I gotta tell ya a story bout a cool kitty who lives in Helena, Montana. He is not on Catster, but he should be. His name is Copper cuz of the color of his eyes. He is orange and white, and he gots long furs like the Peekster.
Copper was at a shelter in Helena when his mama founded him and decided to let him adopt her. She runs an anteek mall in Helena called Golden Girls. After Copper adopted his mama, she decidered to take him to work and see how he liked it. Copper liked workin so much he decidered he wanted to live at the anteek mall. It is in an old buildin with an upstairs, and Copper gets to go anywhere he wants! That includes layin on the counter where ya pay for stuff so he can greet customers. There is a sign on the door that sez somethin like "Don't let the cat out; he lives here," and he even gots a coupla giant cage thingies outside with little hammocks and stuff. When the weather is nice, Copper gets to go out in his cage thingies and watch all the peeples goin by on Last Chance Gulch.
Mama catnot pet nuther kitties cuz of Peekie's dizease, but she loves greetin Copper when she and daddy go anteekin. When we were in Helena a few days ago mama and daddy went to Golden Girls. They were in the very last part of the store lookin around. There was a display case with glass stuff in it right next to a big china cabinet that was real tall. While mama and daddy were standin there, Copper jumped on the display case. He looked at mama and daddy like he was sayin "watch this!" Then he leaped up onto the top of the china cabinet. While mama was tryin to recover from her shockiness, daddy went around to the nuther side of the cabinet. Daddy tooked down a little pickernik basket that was on top, and there was Copper. When he saw daddy lookin at him, Copper stretched out and hanged one of his paws off the edge and turned over on his back and looked at daddy upside down and gave daddy a big smile. Later mama asked Copper's mama if he did that often, and she said "oh, all the time." Geez, every time I try somethin like that at home I get yelled at.
So, kitties, that is Copper's story. Long may he rule Golden Girls.

Jeepers, where did summer go? It was here just a minut ago. We are ekspectin freezy temperatures in Big Sky Country tonight.
Yesterday mama moved the huge mater plants to the shed until the maters are done ripenin. Every day when it is nice mama can open the double shed doors and let the mater plants have some sunshine for finishin the maters. Mama gives em just enuff water to keep em goin for awhile longer.
Today mama was out diggin hugerest plants outta the garden so she could plant her new plants. They are called coneflowers, but I do not know what is so coney bout em. They just looked like little green plants to me and the Peekster. Mama is more determined than intellergunt cuz she broked another shovel tryin to pry a huge lily out. She digged lilies, sage, fennel, and lavender plants outta the garden. Mama sez this time next year maybee we will have more flowers instead of what she calls a "sea of green."
Cuz it might freeze tonight, mama harvested Peekie's and my nip. She cutted it pretty short with some sissers. Then she brought it in in a tray and started fixin it while she was watchin the evenin news. Peekie and I are spoiled cuz mama is real particular bout our nip. She cuts the leaves off and spreads em out to dry, but they can onliest be the nice leaves. Crinkly brown yucky stuff does not make the cut. Peekie got pretty stranj cuz mama was cuttin the good leaves off, and then she let us play with the stems. The livin room carpet smelled pretty nippy by the time mama finished, and the Peekster was worned out from rollin around in the nip. I think she ate some too. Then she crashed. I like the nip pretty much too, but I would NEVER get all silly like my baby sister. After all, I am a mancat and a pirate to boot...

I am real glad to be home. Mama and daddy sed they never had such a terbl vacashun, but at least nothun bad happened to me and the Peekster. I guess I was kinda mean to Peekie. I told her she better not get lostered outside at night or those coyotes that camed in the RV Park would eat her up! Then she looked so skared I felt bad.
I pulled a trick on mama yesterday. I never fuss in my carrier while we are on the road, so when I started to wail just before we got to the truck stopper place, mama thought I had to go potty. While daddy fueled up the big noisy truck, mama took me in the campsterer to go potty. Imagine her sprise when she put me in the potty and I looked at her like "Are you crazy, lady? I do NOT need the potty!" I did get a few minutes of pets and mama time, but then she shoved me back in my carrier, and daddy strapped me back in. After that it did not take long to get home.
While we were gone, mama's new camcorder thingie camed. She and daddy played with it a little bit, and I am pretty sure we are takin it to Virgelle. Mama catnot wait to film me and the Peekster. I am pretty sure I will be the star cuz I am way cooler than Peekie, but the Peekster sez she will be the star because she does cute better.
We love goin to Virgelle. We stay in a bigger cabin now. It has two big beds, so Peekie and I have a napsterin and playin bed for the daytime. The windows have wide ledge thingies so I can lay in the window and watch for that kitty who lives with the ferry mistress. His name is Garfield, and he wants to meet me pretty bad. I think I could take him, but mama and daddy say he is awful street smart.
I do not think the ferry mistress will take us across the river cuz we are not really goin nowhere, but daddy sez if Unkl Jimmy is runnin the ferry on the weekend he might take us all the way across the river and back just for fun. I sure hope Unkl Jimmy is there.
Thanks to everykitty and all their peeples for purrin for our daddy. He seems lots better. Now if mama just does not catch whatever daddy had, we can go have some fun this weekend.
