Catit Cabrio Carrier (2024 Review)

While the carrier may not be your cat’s favorite place, it is an important part of your cat’s life, and it can be vital in an emergency.  And it’s up to you to convince your cat that spending time in the carrier feels good. Unfortunately, for most cats, the only time they’re in a carrier is when they have to go to the veterinarian, so the association with carriers is often a negative and stressful one.

The best way to get your cat used to the carrier is to make it part of your everyday environment – and you’re more likely to do that if a carrier is also pleasing to the human eye.

The Catit Cabrio is a comfortable and spacious carrier with a lot of clever design features. Its unique 360° accessible design makes it easy to place your cat inside.

Putting the Catit Cabrio to the test

The carrier arrived in several different pieces, and I admit to having a little bit of trouble with assembly (if you’ve read me for any length of time, you know that this is not unusual for me!) The instructions featured images only, and my writer brain needs words when it comes to directions! However, once I found the assembly video, it only took me a couple of minutes to put it together.

Allegra didn’t hesitate to walk right into the carrier. She was a little more hesitant about going in when I opened the top, but curiosity took over rather quickly.

I like that the carrier is large enough for her to comfortably stand up and turn around. At barely 9 pounds, she’s a small cat, but even though it’s a bit hard to see in the photos, there was plenty of extra room, so this carrier would work well for larger cats.

My take on the Catit Cabrio

This carrier is heavy and sturdy, something I like in a hard carrier. The wide front door and the ability to open the top will facilitate getting reluctant cats in and out of the carrier (but remember, it’s always best to get your cat used to the carrier so getting her into it doesn’t become an ordeal for both of you!)

Between the innovative design and the pleasing appearance, this is a solid and well-made carrier.
