Cat Class and Style: Six Shoes for Well-Heeled Cat Ladies

Here at Catster, we're all about shunning the dowdy bathrobe-and-cat-hair-donning cat lady image. (See our previous article on how owning a cat makes one sexier.) The old stereotype is almost senseless to us, considering we know so many fabulous, well-heeled gals who just happen to have opened their hearts to as many cats as their landlords let them get away with keeping. (And sometimes more than their landlords actually know about, but shhh.)

While poking around the web over the weekend, we ran into this fun pair of cat-themed heels by Jeffrey Campbell and found ourselves A) bummed that they were out of stock, and B) curious to see what other feline-friendly shoes for the fashionable set were out there. We were pleasantly surprised! See our favorites below. — Your friendly neighborhood editors at Catster HQ

Lita Cat Tapestry by Jeffrey Campbell

Usually, we make a point to hide our toes from the claws of curious kitties (P.S. Isn't it crazy how cats like to attack unsuspecting sleepers?!) but Jeffrey Campbell makes having your feet covered in kittens look like so much fun.

Kitty by Charlotte Olympia

Charlotte Olympia's "Kitty" heels might be our favorite. There's just something about those cute embroidered cat ears. This pair is wayyy beyond budget, but hey, we can dream. (Hat tip to the savvy gal at Catsparella, who blogged about the collection a while ago.)

The Bowler ESP by Ego and Greed

Wedges are all the rage this season, and we like them with a side of (what else?) cats. This pair from Ego and Greed won't break the bank, either!

Cat print Mary Janes by Miu Miu

This pair is on the chunky side, but if it's good enough for the fashionable folks at Miu Miu, it's good enough for us!

Helloooo, Kitty!

OK, these are a little out there, but no list of cat-centric shoes is complete without Hello Kitty.

Kitty Flats by Charlotte Olympia

And who says high fashion needs to involve sky-high heels? For those of us who like to be close to the ground, Charlotte Olympia has these adorable Kitty flats.

P.S. When it comes to cat shoes, there is a line one probably shouldn't cross...and we think we may have found it over here!
