Next-Level Cat Pampering: The Two-Year DIY Feline Subway Station

Share

Catster_Weekly Mews DIY Cat Subway Station (1)

For anyone who has proudly admired their towering cat tree, spent countless hours erecting an impressive collection of ramps, shelves, and cat beds on the wall, or installed the greatest catio ever seen, prepare to feel completely inadequate.

Introducing Xing’s World

Meet Xing Zhilei. While the rest of us were spoiling our cats with cardboard boxes and catnip, Xing has spent the past two years creating a unique world for his beloved kitty, Mr Nice, and his family. The fully furnished feline home is fully decked out with a bedroom, bathroom, lounge room, gaming room, and kitchen, equipped with an elevator, running water, television, pool table, and functioning gas cooktop! In the ever-expanding cat town, you’ll find a supermarket, movie theater, underground parking, bank, and more.

Within the cat house, there is a smaller home for hamsters Tutu and Leilei, and inside this home is an even tinier one for the spider. The scale and attention to detail in this incredible miniature home are hard to describe, and must be seen to be believed.

You need somewhere to park your cat car-1

The latest addition to Xing’s incredible cat world is the newly installed subway. Complete with working escalators, Xing notes that one of the biggest challenges was ensuring that the doors to the train and to the platform worked in synch.

This cat-sized creation was originally designed for both Mr Nice and Xing’s Shiba Inu, but Shiba-san proved to be a little too excited when entering the home, so he is limited to supervised doggy visits only.

Not content with spoiling just his pets, Xing has gone on to create a stunning garden paradise for stray and homeless cats.

Enjoying the lounge room-1

“Of course, I could make a basic shelter for homeless cats, but making something simple wouldn’t be challenging,” says Xing, who went all-out to create a mini replica of a Chinese garden, featuring raised platforms, shelter, waterfall, and fish pond.

Some might argue that Xing’s engineering genius is being wasted in the service of his four-legged friends, but by sharing his videos, he is not just making his fur family happy; he is also bringing joy to millions of viewers around the world. We can’t wait to see what he does next! Let us know what you think in the comments below!
