Flame Point Siamese Kitten

Catster advocates for adopting before shopping, though we fully understand there are many reasons for seeking a breeder. So, we encourage it to be done the right way. We have not personally visited or investigated all of the breeders below. We have put the top-recommended all in one place for you to get in touch and make the best decision for you. Learn more about our stance and how to choose the right breeder here.

Siamese cats are a beautiful breed known for crystal-blue eyes, sleek looks, and unique color points on their face, tails, and legs. They have some quirks, such as frequent vocalizations and the desire for constant affection, and are a great choice for people who prefer canine-like cats.

Though Siamese cats are highly sought after, Virginia has reputable Siamese breeders that produce healthy kittens if you decide not to adopt from a rescue center or shelter. If you’re looking for a specific type of Siamese, you can find seal point Siamese kittens, applehead Siamese kittens, snowshoe Siamese kittens, blue point Siamese kittens, and more. The 2 Siamese Kitten Breeders in Virginia

1. TiaMaria Siamese & Balinese

TiaMaria Siamese & Balinese logo

📍 Troy, VA

TiaMaria Siamese & Balinese is a breeder focused on preserving the traditional Siamese and Balinese cat lines. The breeder offers both long-haired and short-haired kittens in various colors, including lilac point kittens, blue point kittens, and lynx point kittens. Occasionally, the breeder has adults for adoption.

TiaMaria encourages potential pet parents to come to the facility and meet the family, the adult cats, and the kittens. All cats and kittens are registered with the Cat Fanciers’ Association, and select cats and kittens are registered with the International Cat Association.

Most kittens sold are for pet purposes, but the breeder provides breeding rights to select breeders. Kittens go to their forever homes between 10 and 16 weeks and come with a contract, a genetic health guarantee, and records of veterinary exams, deworming, and vaccinations.

2. CherMa’Ki Siamese

A Word of Caution About Cat Mills

Cat or kitten mills are a big problem in the pet trade. Like puppy mills, kitten mills produce litters of kittens in high volumes without adequate housing or care, leading to health problems in the future. In many cases, cats are bred indiscriminately and not tested for genetic conditions.

Kittens in kitten mills are abused and neglected at the mill, often exposed to dim lighting, poor-quality food, inadequate housing (wire cages), and no parasite control. If the mill owners don’t sell their cats to a pet store, they’re sent to laboratory testing facilities.

This exploitative practice can be avoided by choosing breeders carefully. Naturally, pet mill breeders don’t advertise themselves as such, but there are some red flags to look for. Reputable breeders are concerned about the welfare of their kittens and are transparent about their breeding practices.

They usually expect potential pet parents to sign contracts agreeing to veterinary care, spaying and neutering, and regular vaccinations. In some cases, the kitten will be released to you after a spay or neuter surgery. Also, most reputable breeders limit breeding rights and keep kittens until 10 weeks of age or older.
