Cat Astrology: The 12 Star Signs

Aries (21 March to 19 April)

These cats belong to the fire sign and are known for being bold, bossy, and impetuous. Aries cats seem to have no fear, which frequently gets them into trouble, whether they are bringing dead animals that they caught inside the house or scratching up furniture.

Aries cats can be adventurous and active, always up for a hunt or a roam around the garden. You might find that Aries cats aren’t always fond of cuddling, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t enjoy a head scratch and nap next to you now and then.

Aries cats won’t back down from the first sign of trouble, and they use their aggressiveness and fearlessness to their advantage.

Taurus (20 April to 20 May)

Taurus cats are seen as easy-going, funny, and loving cats that probably only care about food and when their next meal is. The Taurus cat is easily motivated by their favorite foods and spends most of their time meowing and following you around for more food or their favorite snack. It is rare to find a Taurus cat that is picky about food.

Aside from their likeliness to over-indulge in kibble, Taurus cats are quite affectionate and even lazy. They enjoy spending most of their time sleeping in comfy spots where the sun hits just right, and they are always ready for a cuddle session.

Gemini (20 May to 20 June)

Gemini cats are seen as the sassiest and bossiest cats out of all the zodiac signs. These cats are vocal and curious, and even mischievous at times. Communicating with you through various meows is what a Gemini cat does best, even if it is at 3 am when you are trying to sleep.

At times, the Gemini cat can be quite charming, and they will always get their way in the end, whether it is to meow for food, get you to move from their favorite spot, or use their charm to get you to do things for them.

At times it can seem like the Gemini cat spends most of their time bossing you around, but once they settle down for a nap, they are welcoming love and affection from you, and there’s no way to resist their cuteness.

Cancer (21 June to 22 July)

Ever heard the term “scaredy cat?” This is the best way to describe a Cancer cat, and they do not like loud noises or changes in their environment. These cats can easily feel unsettled and frightened, and they have more anxiety than what should be normal in a cat. However, they will still investigate the source of the noise, often letting their curiosity get the better of them in the end even if they have to watch from a distance.

At first, a Cancer cat might seem shy and reserved, but once they warm up to you, they will show you endless amounts of love and affection. When a Cancer cat is not taking a nap or hiding away, they can be seen begging for food and attention.

Leo (23 July to 22 August)

Leo cats love being the center of attention, but they can be protective and loyal over those they love. At times a Leo cat seems bold and inquisitive, always out and about or following you around, but don’t underestimate their ability to become lazy, especially if they have found a comfortable sleeping spot.

Leo cats don’t always get along with other cats as they can sometimes feel protective over their space, so it might take longer for a Leo cat to bond with unfamiliar cats or pets in the home. Leo cats will beg and meow for attention when you are around them, and they hate feeling left out.

Giving a Leo cat plenty of cuddles, food, and toys is enough to keep their attention-seeking traits satisfied.

Virgo (23 August to 22 September)

Virgo cats are perhaps the wisest out of all the zodiac signs. These cats are always on the watch and observing what’s going on in the home. Virgo cats will have an endless curiosity that makes it intriguing for them to figure out the solution to different problems they face and learn new things quickly.

This can make a Virgo cat easier to train, and they adapt quickly to new environments. Virgo cats will watch people and other animals intently to get a better understanding of their environment, and even when they are sleeping, they always seem to know what is going on around them.

Libra (23 September to 22 October)

Libra cats can be vain, loving, and great charmers. These cats are ruled by Venus, and get most of the things they want by looking adorable and cuddly. Whether they are giving you the cutest look for food or attention, or flaunting around the house like they own the place, Libra cats are beautiful, and they know it.

Libra cats are also quite agreeable and laid-back, and they are more accepting of cuddles and human interaction once they have warmed up to someone.

Scorpio (23 October to 21 November)

Scorpio cats are proud, easily provoked, and often moody cats out of all the zodiac signs. A Scorpio cat will easily show when they are displeased with something, whether it is from a change in their environment, or they woke up in a foul mood. When a Scorpio cat is not sulking, you will find them hunting and proudly bringing you the kill afterward.

Scorpio cats enjoy playing, but they can easily become bored or irritated. These cats have a short attention span when it comes to cuddling or receiving affection, and they might change their mind quickly if they no longer feel like interacting with you. However, their moodiness and general distaste for life don’t stop them from being loyal and loving.

Sagittarius (22 November to 21 December)

The Sagittarius cat is full of adventure and fierceness which makes them protective and active cats. Sagittarius cats won’t pass up the opportunity to eagerly explore their surroundings or try new things, and they are quite affectionate towards guests and unfamiliar people. Sagittarius cats can quickly warm up to people and enjoy regular human interaction, and playtime seems to be their favorite part of the day.

Sagittarius cats are eager to explore their environment, and they seem to have a spring in their step when outdoors and discovering new things.

Capricorn (22 December to 19 January)

The competitive and ambitious Capricorn cat is enthusiastic about completing tasks, and they are not easily discouraged. Capricorn cats can easily be described as brave, and their eagerness to impress themselves and others is noticeable.

Capricorn cats can be responsible and reserved, and they will generally keep to themselves and keep busy with interesting activities. These cats may be less fearful of standing up against dogs and not tolerating any behaviors that they don’t like from humans and other animals.

Aquarius (20 January to 18 February)

The loving and quirky Aquarius cat is a unique cat that has a strange set of personality traits. Aquarius cats are known for doing many amusing things that make them seem aloof, but they can also be intelligent and quick to solve problems.

When an Aquarius cat is not doing something funny, you can find them roaming the garden and calculating the best way to catch the bird or mouse. They are appreciative of cuddles and human interaction, so it is likely that most of the funny things they do are to make us laugh and make us give them attention.

Pisces (19 February to 20 March)

The Pisces cat is known for being healing and deeply intuitive. These cats might pay more attention to you when you are sad, and try to make you feel better by just being a support animal. Pisces cats are faithful and loving, but they can be feisty at times if they don’t get their way.

Most Pisces cats will have an interest in exploring but are equally eager to take a nap or watch their surroundings from a warm sunny spot. The Pisces cat can be serious at times, but when they start to get more comfortable around you, they will enjoy playing with you and receiving plenty of affection.

Conclusion

There’s no doubt that each cat has a unique personality, but some traits might be influenced by a cat’s zodiac sign. It seems that most Scorpio cats can be grumpy and easily provoked, while the fiery fierceness in the Aries and Sagittarius cats are admirable, and the aloof and food-loving Taurus cat is adorable.

As all of us cat lovers know, each cat has a very individual personality, and it can’t all be explained using astrology! But regardless of what you believe in, finding out whether your cat’s personality is influenced by their zodiac sign is a lot of fun.
