Catster advocates for adopting before shopping, though we fully understand there are many reasons for seeking a breeder. So, we encourage it to be done the right way. We have not personally visited or investigated all of the breeders below. We have put the top-recommended all in one place for you to get in touch and make the best decision for you. Siamese cats can be an absolute pleasure to own, and they are consistently one of the most popular cats, ranking within the top 10 breeds. However, choosing the right Siamese breeder is essential because you not only want to support a breeder who actively aims to improve the breed, but you also want a healthy kitten. The 2 Siamese Cat Breeders in Louisiana

1. Southern Traditional Siamese and Balinese

Southern Traditional Siamese and Balinese

  • Ponchatoula, Louisiana

Southern Traditional is a cattery specializing in Siamese and Balinese cats and kittens, with the primary focus being on Old-Style Applehead Siamese kittens and traditional Siamese, which includes seal point, flame point, blue point, and lilac point Siamese kittens. All kittens are born in the home, and the breeder imprints them at birth, giving them a positive start to a happy relationship with people.

All of their cats are registered with CFA and CFF and are free of FeLV and FIV. They’re a closed cattery, so there is minimal risk of disease being introduced to the cats, and they do not sell kittens with breeding rights, ensuring that unwanted litters don’t occur.

2. Cat Haven

  • Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Cat Haven is not a Siamese breeder, but they are a Louisiana-based cat rescue that is working toward making Baton Rouge a no-kill community for cats and kittens of all breeds by providing community access to spay/neuter programs, adoption resources, and care resources.

This non-profit organization was founded in 1999 as a grassroots movement that has grown into a program with full-time employees, hundreds of volunteers, and a permanent adoption center with state of the art resources. They regularly rescue and adopt cats of all breeds, including Siamese and Siamese mixes. Whether you’re looking for an adult cat or a kitten, Cat Haven always has cats available for adoption.
