Plenty of celebrities love cats, but Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon is proving to be a cat man with real heart in his efforts to design a feline-inspired shoe for charity.

Vernon recently teamed up with Los Angeles-based Keep Company to create a pair of cruelty-free kicks that would have any kitty licking its chops. The unisex design is a delectable shade of salmon and features herringbone trim and a fishbone design across the toe. Proceeds from the sale of the shoe benefit Best Friends Animal Society, an animal advocacy group that operates the nation’s largest sanctuary for abused and abandoned animals in Kanab, Utah.

When seeking inspiration for the catty creation, the Grammy award-winner had to look no further than his two cats, Melmon and Flo. The adorable pair of rescue kitties have been known to make appearances on the band’s website.

Keep + Bon Iver can be pre-ordered for $75 through Keep’s website until July 1 and will be available in select stores worldwide starting in October.
