Arrival Story: Skylar was born feral, and was rescued. It is unknown where and how many weeks old he was when he was rescued, We adopted him at 6 weeks old from Petsupermarket thru Adopt-A-Angel.

Bio: Skylar is a Egyptian Mau, possibly mixed/hybrid (if he is the breed is unknown) . When we got him it was unknown what breed he was, I had to do some reseach. His Vet papers have him marked as an American Shorthair/Tabby. Skylar's brother Jack is an American Shorthair and the physical features are very different. At first I thought he was a Bengal, but he is way to petite. When I looked into the egyptian Mau breed, I saw that not only was the physical traits similar, the personality and behaviors of the Egyptian Mau were as well.
Skylar's siblings:
Jack- 2 yrs -American Shorthair/bi-colored and
Spotti Girl- 5 yrs- Jack Russell/Corgi/Beagle

When we brought Skylar home he was so tiny and petite. He was so skinny, because he was born feral. His meows were unique and almost mute, but as he grew they gradually were louder. He had trouble hearing, and we thought he might be deaf in one ear, after a vet visit it turned out to be a bad case of ear mites he got when he was feral. When we brought him home, Spotti grew a liking for him amediately although Skylar was not familar to dogs. He hissed at her and she would wimper as if saying "why don't you like me?" They are the best of friends now. Jack was alot less than excited at the new arrival of the new kitty. He fussed at the sight of Skylar, and was quite irritated at us like we were replacing him, a normal reaction for any new family member. We had to keep them separated for a while. Jack got use to him, and actually looks out for him as a older brother would. He teaches Skylar everything; Skylar copies Jacks every move, and still does.

Yesterday on Feb 11th,
Skylar was on the staircase banister. He goes up there because he has no fear of height. He was playing with his tail and lost his balance. It scared me half to death, I thought he was going to splat on the floor. He landed on his feet onto the couch. He fell about 8 feet, by miracle he was not hurt. I was on the other side of the couch when it happened.
