Coloration: Particolor Point
Likes: Playing with her brother and sister. Climbing- she worries us no end. Watches TV intently, loves seeing rats or birds. Being brushed. Dearly loves our loud, active Grandson. Most of all, a clean litter box.
Pet-Peeves: Not being able to go outside. Her collar, she is on her fourth one.
Favorite Toy: Balls, especially the soft "pom-pom" ones at first. Now, she only wants live prey! She loves anything belonging to the boy. She acts like his shoes are catnip!!
Favorite Nap Spot: The "penthouse" of the cat tree. She likes to hang out up there. She loves to sleep with the boy, or in his stuff.
Favorite Food: Tuna steak, crunchy cat treats. Canned catfood most of all.
Skills: Climbing. She is a little houdini-hiding in places I have yet to discover. Her "dad" spend over three hours looking for her on the first day she was in our house. She seems to understand human, she is very responsive in word and actions.
Dwells:
indoors and outdoors
Arrival Story: Zoey was born in the Central Valley, about 5 hours from here. Her mother was a feral cat. A co-workers mother took care of them, provided shelter, food and water.
Fur mother Dipstick aka Miss Kitty took good care of them, even litter trained them. She let people handle the kittens, so they were tame.
Zoey is the 2nd out of the three kittens. Originally named Duo, she is the second smallest. But, she is mighty.
She has emerged as the alpha-cat. She is a natual hunter, if they were still feral, she would probably provide for everyone. I had to put a charm on her little critters collar (smallest size)-it is of a pink skull and crossbones, with rhinestone eyes. She is a tough cookie.
Very colorful, she is the picture of her mother. A calico point. Muted orange, and almost lilac gray spots on her mask and ears. Tail is orange, blending into gray stripes. She has some smoky patches on her back and sides, sometimes they look very dark. Her coat seems to change almost every time I look at her.
She has blue eyes, very clear and arresting.
Her meow is loud, and raspy for such a dainty little thing.
She is the voice of litter.
The night before everyone got spayed and neutered, I took up the food and water as directed. At about 4 am, I was woken up by her cries. She meowed a long meow walking over to where the food should be, looking up at me, nodding her head.
One day, I was rushing in the morning, and glanced at their bowl in the dim light. It appeared full.
Ms. Zoey walked over, and was "burying" her food in front of me. I turned on the light, and the bowl was black with ants.
She meowed loudly at me, as if to say, "Hey, our food is icky, Mom".
She is the most independent of the litter. But, she wants petting, she gets it.
Zoey also knew when Dad was sick. She sat up with him all night, and when I checked on him, she meowed loudly at me, a very accusing tone, looking concerned, and upset.
Bio: She can be a menace, but she really means well. She dumped over the beta fish (he survived). Some of my potted plants were dug up and scattered. I know she really wants to go outside. She is outside now that she is grown, with human supervision- only during daylight. Uno rats her out when she climbs over fence or on the roof.
She actually "brought" a feral cat into our house, meowing at me beseechingly. They made friends through the screen doors.
She does the bird "chattering"-they are tormenting her. Even the hummingbirds are in on it.
She can handle a houseful of young boys, even hanging out by the pool-she chews on the boy's stuff, even swim fins! She is protective, almost jumping on the cable guy from above when he was in the house. Our cats totally freaked him out! I just love my little princess, she is one of the most unique, intelligent cats I have ever known.

I've Been On Catster Since:
Zoey, out of bounds in the front yard yesterday. She did come up to the front door crying. This probably means that she does not know how to get back over the fence into the backyard.
When Dad came outside to get her, she ran from the door. He came outside. In the front yard was the neighborhood stray orange tom with no tail. A big, strong cat.
Zoey waits until Dad was a few feet from her, and she ran over and jumped in the middle of the tomcat.
They were rolling around rabbit-kicking each other for a minute.
Dad ran him off, and Zoey went under the truck and would not come out. Dad was worried that she was hurt. She was furious!!
I am afraid to let her out today. She started asking about 5 am.
I talked to her for a long time last night, and this morning. She had nothing to say for herself. I know she knows what NO FRONT YARD means.
I really wish the dog, Bali did not have to visit. This is MY HOUSE, MY HUMANS!!
It is fun to be nasty as I can. Mom got after me, but I don't care.
Bali does not like it when I stare at her. She always looks away first-she knows I am boss. I am smaller, but I am nastier-hehe.
I am so happy she is gone. I cuddled and purred for Mom last night for hours and hours. Mom rubs and scratches my face, and I love it. She says I am giving her "calico face". Whatever.
I love Mom, but I don't show it like Uno does. He just is not happy when Mom is not home, or too busy to play or pet/cuddle him.
Oh, Treya is here. I just love my little sister. I will groom her a bit, and we play for hours in the "cat forts".
Even Spikey loves them.
Uno also dragged around the feather duster for us girls, we love
chasing, and eating it. Yum.
Oh, also Auntie sent these yummy, addictive crunchy cat treats.
I got tricked off the roof the other night with them... darn.
Mom gets so upset when I am outside in the dark... she won't
give up until I am inside--party pooper.
Mom has been following me with the little box thing that flashes light sometimes. It is not food, and I will not look at her when she has it. I know she wants me to, but I won't. That is that.
I love Mom, but--she is always checking on me. I wish she would not worry.
A FEW times I have gotten stuck. Uno got Mom when she did not hear me crying. I was out front once too, and Mom found out.
I was meowing, and walking all crouched down. But, but I was really ok.
I really love the boy. He is the smallest one, and the loudest. Uno
hates it when he yells. I just meow at him when it is out of hand.
He seems to listen to me better than the humans.
His shoes are the best ever, can't beat the smells. I will chew all shoes, but I prefer his by far.
They need me to keep him in line. The birds too. They act like they own the place, you know. I make sure they stay out of the yard.
I am always happy to see them, but, they know I want to hunt them. They are more afraid of me than the boy cats, as I am more of a threat.
I seem to get the spray bottle more than the boys. I like to climb.
We are not allowed up on things in the food room. But, I will go up when I feel like it, ok?
The chairs in the food room need my scent, so I will sharpen my claws on them, too. Love to do Mom's chair, always has something of Mom's on the back for privacy. The humans FREAK. ha ha
I like it best when Treya comes, so we can gang up on Uno. He is big, but I am meaner!!!! He bites hard, though---
He can dish it out, but can't take it.
I like the other cats outside. They smell funny, and are afraid of the humans. But-Mom makes sure they have food and water in the backyard. She calls their names, too and they seem to know them, strange. They need her, you see.
I guess I do too....
