Hi effuryone. Maybe someone can help meowmy about my problem. It started around a month ago, when meowmy was folding my leopard blankie in my basket. The blankie was all rolled up, and guess what she found? Poop!!! Meowmy thought they looked like my poopies too, but couldn't be sure.

Then she came home one day and the bedspread was wrinkled up. Poop again!!! Meowmy said thank goodness I don't have diarrhea!!!

Yesterday, meowmy heard me crying. She was sitting on the couch and thought to herself that it couldn't be about a bird cause I wasn't by any windows. Sure enough she found me standing by the basket crying. And yes, there was poop in the blankie.

What is going on? She had just made a fresh box so it's not that it was dirty. And I still use the box, this is "extra." Do you think it's a sign of a physical problem, or a psychological one?We are going to the vet next week. Meowmy's friend said the doc will think she's nuts if she asks is it psychological.

Can anybody help? Any suggestions, ideas, opinions will be greatly appreciated.

If your vet is a good vet, he will not think your nuts! He will appericate you telling the hole story. That's one way they can tell what's going on. Sometimes our brofur KK will cry and run around when he has to pooie, every now and than he gets backed up (so to speak) and it takes him several trys in different litter boxes, but he does go. He does have
psychological problems. His brofur Zeeke sometimes tries to keep him out of the litter box, so he holds it until later. Maybe that's what Pumkin is doing. Remember to always tell the vet things. No matter how dumb they seem to be. Little things can help the vet.

I wonder if you're constipated Pumkin and it's hurt you when you've been in your litter box. My sisfur Lucy was like this once when she was constipated and wouldn't do it in her litter box 'cos I think she associated it with the pain of trying to do a poo. She just did it anywhere - mum knew something was wring 'cos she's always been a very clean kittie. When she'd had some katalax to help her she was fine and went back to normal.

I agree that you could be constipated and associating pain with the litterbox. Also was the litter changed to a diferent brand or the box location changed or the box? Was it cleaned with a new cleanser? There are many issues it could be so it is a good idea that you have a Vet appointment scheduled.

Thank you all for writing. Thre brand of litter is the same one they have always used and the box in the same spot. I will tell the Vet everything and let you know what happens.
