Arrival Story: I found Shadow at a cat rescue place. She was saved from a Pulp mill where there alot of stray kitties hiding in and around the mill. I was looking for a long haired kitten, Shadow did not have very long hair as a kitten, but as soon as I saw her I fell in love with her, and took her home right away. Shadow first had Ringworm, oh how pleasant!!. Then when she was about a year old she had to have all her teeth out, except for fangs and inscissors. She had some sort of autoimmune thing, that if she didnt have them out, she would get sick. Then last year she got struvite crystals due to that bad dry food. Now she is has been on wet food for over 2 years now and is healthy and even lost some weight.
Thank you Catster for making me Diary of the Day.
It has been a very hard week for me and my mum.
My Brofur crossed over Rainbow Bridge on Feb 15th 2014.
Even though we did not get along all the time, I sure am gonna miss him.
I know he loved me, he used to sleep beside me to try and keep cozy.
My mum still cries a lot, and Im not eating as much as I should.
Hopefully as time passes we will heal.
Thank you everyone for the gifts and kind words, they mean a lot to me and my mum.
We love you Wilson, and hope you are having fun with all our furfriends, running free now with no pain.
We just heard the news Catster may be saved. We are so happy if this comes to be. We have been in an emotional rollercoaster ride here this week, so this just brought on the tears even more. My brother Wilson is dying of cancer, and we thought we would loose his profile page too, and would not have a place to put his memorial. We are glad that we will hopefully have a place to reflect still. My mum is so very upset, and I have been moping around cause she is giving most of the attention to my brother. Please keep us all in your purrs
We are so very sad to hear about the closing of Catster. We are especially sad for all our friends that have their memorial pages on here, only to have to now try and figure out how to save them all. We have been at Catster since 2007. Honestly we have not been very active for a couple of years as things did change around here, and we just did not enjoy it as much. I used to be very active on the food and nutrition board on the forum, so some may remember me from there. We are very glad that we have met the friends that we did here, and still hold those friendship dearly. I guess things in life change and we just have to accept them, and try something new.
I have just created a page for my Shadow and Wilson on Facebook, so please join us there if you are on there. https://www.facebook.com/shadowandwilson
