Arrival Story:
I'd heard that a woman down the street had Siamese cats that had kittens. I work at the water company in our community, so when I saw her husband, I asked him how they were, how much she was selling them for and when they'd be ready. He said that he'd tell her to call me. So, she called me when they were 7 weeks old. I wanted a female and she had 2 left, so I picked the tiniest of all. I thought she was so cute because she was so tiny and fuzzy. When she came home, she was scared but we held her and played with her. That night, we put her in her crate and she did wonderfully. The next morning when I woke up, I walked to her crate (poor little thing was scared to death on her first morning in her new home) and she hissed and let me know that she was scared. I gently reached in and took her out. She was okay then. My kids were on spring break that week, so they played with her all day. She got used to my Boston Terrier, Molly that day and began blending in like she'd been there since the day she was born. When I woke up the next morning and went to her crate, she was so happy to see me this time! :) She's been running all over the house and exploring. She wants to be by my side all the time. She's most definitely a family member for life!

My new family

My name is Jasmine. My mommy has wanted me for a long time. She says that she used to have a Siamese a long time ago and he was so pretty and smart and she wanted another pretty and smart Siamese, so she picked me. She liked me a lot because I was the smallest one out of my litter. She thinks I'm so cute because she says that I'm so fuzzy. My color hasn't come in all the way yet...I'm white and have caramel colored ears and tail and blue eyes. Mommy says that she can't wait to see how pretty I turn out, but she doesn't want to rush it because she loves me being a tiny fur-ball. I don't really understand all of that because I think it would be better to just be bigger so I can get to all of those cool places above me that I just can't jump to yet.

I love to sit on mommy's shoulder. And, I'm really not sure how much I weigh 'cuz mommy hasn't taken me to the vet yet, but when I got on the scale those numbers didn't move, so I don't think I weigh very much. Mommy did say that I was about 10" long from head to tail, but she wasn't exactly sure because I didn't really feel like holding still. I really have better things to do!

There are so many places that I want to go look at, but for some reason everyone follows me around and won't hardly let me go anywhere. They all think I'll get lost or something. So, I guess I'll just keep playing with the shoestrings on the shoes that are sitting on the floor!

There are 4 dogs in my family. I know Molly the best. She gets so excited sometimes and mommy said that one day I'll play with her and roll around and stuff, but right now she's just kinda too big for me. I love her, though. I like to lay next to her. The other big dog, Lucy, is kinda scared of me. She's a big girl, but she's a little leary of lil' ole me. I know I will win her over soon!! There's also this one thing called a Ferrett. His name is Panda and he looks really fun, but I haven't played with him yet either.

Well..I guess I'd better go now. I'm kinda tired and I think it's time for my nap.

Purrs,
Jasmine
