Arrival Story:
When these kittens were found by the SPCA, their mom was dead and they were lonely and frightened. They normally would have been put to sleep upon arrival at the animal shelter, because at their very young age (5 weeks) they required a feeding every 5 hours but had no mother for this. We agreed to be "foster parents" for these kittens until they became 12 weeks old, through a program that the SPCA does for animals that are orphaned at very young ages and need extra special care and attention before they can be adopted by the general public. After staying with us until they were big enough, we brought them back to the SPCA, and they were so friendly and healthy that they were all adopted right away! Henry and Spike were adopted into the same home, and Alvin and Penelope were each adopted by separate homes. They were adorable kittens, and wherever they are they are now 2 years old and we are sure their adoptive families must love them. Taking care of these kittens was a great experience, and we would recommend it to any cat lover!

1. (Primary photo) They've gotten much bigger than they were when they first arrived, and love being held. They are very curious and love to get into trouble.

2. As soon as they were big enough, we let them drink their kitten formula from a saucer instead of a bottle, so that they could all drink at once. Alvin would get so excited and drink so fast that his chin would be covered in milk!

3. We thought they would feel safe and secure sleeping in this box, but it didn't take them long to climb out and explore the whole basement. When they were napping, reaching into the box and patting them would cause the whole box to vibrate with the rumble of 4 little purring bodies.

4 & 5. Their favorite blue chair. When they became too big to sleep in the box, they spent most of their nap time relaxing in this chair, sometimes washing each other or wrestling.

6. Guzzling warm kitten formula! They made loud slurping sounds, and sometimes got so excited they would stick their paws in the saucer.

7 & 8. More cuteness.
