Don't forget to post in the Plus Fun Forum!" Thank you so much to my purrific ARG! I am the 9th of my furmily to receive this special ribbon. Thank you fur helping make my day furry special. I am going to send some blue ribbon rosettes to some deserving cats! Three of my sisfurs haven't gotten any ribbons but I won't send any to them, even though in my heart they are "Best In Show"!

My trip to the Biltmore House and Asheville with Jarvis!

My weekend was so purrfect! My special fellow Jarvis and his siblings sent a car to pick up my sisfur Clawdette and brofur Prince at 8:00 am. Off we headed to meet Jarvis, Tux and Cleo in Asheville, NC and to tour the the Biltmore House and have a purrfect picnic on those beautipurr estate grounds! The gardens were just breathtaking. Jarvis and I had such fun walking paw in paw in the romantic setting.

We spent Saturday night at the Inn which is located next to the Estate on Saturday night. The girls stayed together and the boys stayed together. Sunday morning we arose to a beautipurr mountain setting and had a lovely breakfast and then, sadly, our fun weekend had to come to an end. The car brought us back home. But the chatter on the ride home amongst Prince and Clawdette and I was so much fun. We relived the whole trip. Prince kept on talking about how lovely Cleo was in her pink sundress.

What a purrfect weekend was had by all! I will be dreaming of it all week!

I got a purrty bunch of tulips from my wonderpurr Jarvis saying that he had a wonderpurr weekend!

We have a new great cat nephew!

If you remember my great cat nephew Boots who recently suffered from a big scare with kidney failure as the result of accidently ingesting some liquid from an Advil gel capsule, you will be furry pleased to know that his visit to the doc doc gave furry good news. He will be okay with care and special food.

Well, Boots and his brofur Fluff have a new kitty brofur named Simba. Simba is really not new to us as my meowmy and Boots' dad were there when Simba was rescued from the pound when he was about 6 weeks of age. My meowmy's furiend adopted Simba originally. Unfortunately, his meowmy got furry sick and had to go to a nursing home as the result of too many seizures causing health and mental issues. Her husband is much older than she is and has recently cracked his back and is not in good health and is trying to find good homes for all of Simba's other siblings. They are older cats, for the most part, and this will be a tough job. My meowmy is trying to help him find them good homes. She is furry happy that Simba will have a good home. My meowmy has always had a love for Simba. She was there when he was adopted and went when he was neutered, too. She feels like he is a part of our furmily.

I am furry honored and my typist is furry naughty

Well, my typist is getting furry slow in my thank-yous. My furmily and I got a watermelon of thanks from the furmily of Mercy and Noah on July 1. This was for helping celebrate the 8th birthdays of Mercy and Noah. The others in their furmily are Oly, Petrie, Oliver, Rico, Petals and Shamus (angel). We enjoyed our watermelon.

I got a furry special sun rosette from my beloved fiancé Jarvis on July 1. He told me his pawrents are home now. Jarvis saw me in my Hazel Lucy hat and told me he likes me in the hat. The best part is that he loves me. Welcome home to Jarvis' pawrents.

I wanted to write all of them immediately but could my typist help me? NO! She told me she had to paint the trim in our house that day. What? Not help? How dare she tell me no. But, alas, she did. She painted until it was nighttime and then she and my dad had a late dinner. Did she bother to help me then? NO. So yesterday morning (the 2nd), I heard her get up at 5 am. She and my dad then left and were gone most of the day. She gave me some excuse about having to take her cousin to the hospital for an outpatient procedure and it took the greater part of the day. Did she help me when they returned home? No! What is with that? I did hear her talk on the phone when she was here. So, here's my thinking... if she can talk on the phone, why can't she help me type? She gave me some poor excuse about she can talk and use her hands for other things but when she types for me, she can't get anything else done. I can't believe she had the nerve to tell me that!

Then today, to my shock and delight, I got a trophy and note from Fluff, the group leader of !♥ =^..^= 4 The Love of Cats =^..^= ♥ ! telling me that I had been selected as COTW of the group. What a pawsome honor! Thank you, Fluff. I am so honored, especially to have the week of July 4th!

Thank you to Oreo, Reece, Cinnamon, Reba and Ruby for my flag and concats on my honor as COTW in !♥ =^..^= 4 The Love of Cats =^..^= ♥ ! Thank you for helping me celebrate!

wanda, Norman, Tess, Rupert, Mitchell, Beckie, Fay, Princess, Harvey, Bess, Lewis, Einstein, Mama Kitty, Lilly, Blackie, Patti, Nikki, Frankie, Marie, Sunni, Roxanne, Rosie, Bob, Jesse and Freddie sent me a flag to help me celebrate the 4th of July! We love this furmily and thank each one for the special wishes.

You should read the story of how Milo was found in the dumpster. I just don't know why there are such ugly humans in our world. Milo is furry lucky to have a loving furmily.

I was tagged by the dashing and handsome Henry, who just happens to be the brofur of Calamity who is my brofur Hooch's furry special lady.

Here's how to play the game. It's summer time and there are lots of things to do during this time of year. I would love to hear what you like to do during the summer. List 5 things you like to do and then tag 5 of your furiends!

The things I like to do in the summer are.......

1. I love to sit at the computer room windows and watch all the birdies and squirrels trying to get the seeds from the birdfeeders!

2. I love to chase and annoy Clawdette!

3. I love to nap on top of the cat tree when Hooch will allow it.

4. I love to make biscuits (knead) on my meowmy in Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. I am not as obsessed as my brofur Prince, however.

5. I love to sit in my meowmy's lap and drool on her to help keep her cool!

Here are the 5 furiends I have tagged to tell what they love about summer time!

1. Boots - my great cat nephew who has been furry sick.
2. Fluff - my great cat nephew who is helping his brofur.
3. Daisy - she has a beautiful flower name!
4. Daisy - she has a beautiful flower name, too!
5. Pawlette - a precious new member to Catster and her furmily!

Have fun!

What a week!

For any who haven't heard, my great cat nephew Boots was playing at his home on Sunday. Sometime between 10:30 am and 8:30 pm, he found a little colorful ball that he found on the floor and he decided to play with it. What he did not know is that it was a gel Advil capsule full of what is poison to us cats. He bit into the capsule during his playful attempts with the little ball. After his pawrents got in that night, they found where some cat had thrown up in the kitchen and also upstairs in the bedroom. Since they have two cats (Boots and Fluff) they had no idea of which cat had thrown up. But his pawrents did find the partially deflated Advil gel capsule, however, so they knew what had probably caused the sickness.

His pawrents called the vet the next day. The doctor said that he was probably okay if he kept his breakfast and dinner down which he did. Now, remember that his pawrents still did not know which cat had gotten sick at this point. The vet told his pawrents to keep Boots and Fluff in different rooms for 48 hours so they both went to their appointed bathrooms. During the next 48 hours, both Boots and Fluff acted alright.

On Wednesday morning, it was discovered that it was Boots who was the sick one. He was not feeling well and was not interested in his food and had thrown up fluid. So, now they knew which cat had gotten into the Advil. His pawrents called the vet and she told them to bring him right in, which they did. After doing his blood panels, the vet found Boots was in severe kidney failure and they were given no guarantee as to whether he would pull through this illness. They started an IV and put a collar on poor Boots and were about to put the catheter and pump on him when my meowmy rushed over to see him because my pawrents had a trip they had to take. The vet let my meowmy hold Boots for a while until his pawrents could come back. While Meowmy was holding Boots, the vet said they needed to give him a shot for nausea. Boy, did he scream according to Meowmy. The vet told her it burned and was not pleasant for him. His pawrents arrived and held him for a while and then they put him in his cube so urgent treatment could begin.

When his pawrents took him in on Wednesday, his levels were my levels were at 98 but were supposed to be between 16 and 32. This was not good. Sometime during his first night at the hospital, Boots somehow managed to get his IV out... that big plastic collar did not stop him.

On Thursday morning, despite Boots efforts to get the tubes out, his levels dropped almost twenty points to 74. The vet said that was furry encouraging but would not committ as to whether he would or could make it or not. She said it would depend on his next levels which would be taken on Friday morning. They had to put the tubes back in but because his veins kept blowing out, they had to use his rear leg. So, now Boots has three shaved legs and a shaved neck.

We did not know what to expect this morning (Friday) but we knew it was critical. Imagine our surprise that Boots' levels had come down from 74 the day before to 18 (normal is between 16 and 32). His pawrents were furry nervous because the little rascal had again pulled out his IV. He IS a determined little fellow. When the vet came out and told them to "Take him home!" they could not believe their ears.

His pawrents had to go to work so they called my meowmy to see if she could pick him up and take him to his home. She did and she said he was so happy to be at his home. He and Fluff played and played and Boots was begging for food. We are all so happy he is doing well.

He will always have damaged kidneys and will be on K/D food for the rest of his life but the vet expects it to be a normal life. Boots has to go back in several weeks for another blood panel to see where his levels are then... IF he has not problems before that time. We all feel furry blessed to have Boots back with us.

One other good thing is that I got a lovely rose from my precious Jarvis. His pawrents are going on a vacation to Mexico and he wanted to send me a purrty rose to tell me he loved me and that hopefully his meowmy could relax on her vacation. Jarvis has a sick doggie brofur named Boogie. His pawrents have been furry stressed and upset over little Boogie's illness and needed some time to relax. I hope that they will have a wonderpurr time and be able to put the stress behind them, if only for a few days.
