Arrival Story:
J and I were in the mall one day, and we saw her in the pet store. There she was in the window all by herself with those little yellow-green eyes and amazing tortoiseshell fur. To be honest, she picked him, because he went straight in and asked how much she was. We got all the supplies then and there and she rode home in his shirt. I think she was younger than the pet store people said she was, because she barely filled up the palm of our hands. She was a little terror to start, spending most of her nights on the top of the rabbit cage with her face pressed to the bars. The dwarf bunny was bigger than she was, but that didn't daunt her. We'd let him out and they'd chase each other around. Usually Sylvan won.

Bio:
Cinder is a real cuddle bug. When she gets picked up, she curls up very nicely and wraps her paws around either your hand, so you will rub her chin, or your neck so she can sniff your face. She never uses her claws unless she's on 'guard-duty' or she's sharpening them - on the tree, or more frequently on the carpet. She also has this tendency, when she's sitting on the back of the couch during tv time, to "groom" us by licking our hair. Cinder is definitely our guard kitty now. She used to hide whenever people she didn't know came over, now she growls every time she hears someone outside the door, and if she doesn't like them she won't let them in the house. One person she actually clawed several times. Lets just say I trust me kitty's judgement. When Clio had her one and only baby, Cinder got jealous and stole her and hid under the bed. She's still 100% protective of Miss Kitten, even though they love to scrap - especially in the middle of the night. This is definitely her house and she makes sure we all know she's the queen of her domain.

Flea Treatment Trauma

I am quite bent at the moment. The two-leggers gave me my flea-medications today. I hate how it makes my skin feel. What I hate most is that Miss Kitten doesn't get the same kind because she's allergic to it, just like her dad, Ziggy. So I'm hiding under the table and refusing to come out for the treats the two-leggers are trying to sooth me with. They're not chicken flavoured. They should know better!
