Yesterday mommy was in what is called a "fender-bender". She and the furless boys are all fine, but the front driver's side of the car is kinda smushed! So mommy has been dealing with insurance companies and getting the car fixed. No fun! But I'm glad they are all okay! I betcha my angel brofur Corky was watching out for them.

Stargate Atlantis

Whoohoo! Stargate Atlantis won the People's Choice Award for favorite sci-fi show!! Mommy doesn't usually like to watch awards shows, but she had to watch this one and root for her favorite show! :-)

Bye-bye tree

Well, mommy took my pretty Christmas tree down *sigh*. I still think she should leave it up all year long! Next holiday is the furless twins' birthday - it's the same day as my angel brofur Corky's birthday. :-) The boys will be 14 years old, which for some reason makes mommy nervous! It has something to do with learning how to drive a car...

Next is Valentine's Day, then the other furless boy's 16th birthday is in March. Mommy says we'll have to tighten our belts to be able to pay for car insurance once he gets his driver's license. What's with everyone's preoccupation with the car, anyway?! And what's a belt?!

New pics!

Mommy took bunches of new pictures of me over Christmas, so we rearranged my page and put the new pics in there! We made a slideshow of all the really cool pics our catster friends have made for us, since we ran out of room in the photos! But I think it looks way better in the slideshow anyway, so check it all out!

Chatty Cats Club COTW Interview

1. You like to be carried around by your mom - where do you like to have her take you?

I love to be carried around anywhere in the house. I like to look down at the dog and go "na na na na" (hee hee). But I won't let her carry me outside, cuz it's scary out there! I've been out a couple of times on my own, so I know! Inside the house is way better!!


2. You seem to be good at helping your mom write stories. What type of story are you and your mom working on right now?

Mommy and me are working on a mystery novel! I tried to convince her to make the hero a cat like me, but she says that's already been done! So the main character in our story is a woman, kinda like mommy, who is deaf. I think it's an interesting hook, don't you?


3. Your name came from mystery novels, are you a very mysterious cat?

I am most certainly a mysterious cat - aren't we all? I have great places to hide in the house where mommy can't find me, hee hee!


4. You love your bed, but for a while your doggie was hogging it - what did you do when the dog was sleeping in it?

Well, don't tell the dog, but I would *pretend* I didn't really care if she was in my bed. But, I really did care, and the second she got out of it, I jumped right in!!


5. The holidays are here - what are your favorite things about this time of year?

I don't like Thanksgiving so much cuz mommy usually goes to her sister's house. She doesn't take me along cuz I don't like to ride in the car!! But I get extra treats when she gets home, so I guess that makes up for missing her while she's gone. :-)

HOWEVER, any day now, mommy will put up my special tree! She puts it up every year, just for me!! It's tall and green and has twinkly lights and lots of fun toys on it for me to play with! It's funny though, why does she put up this tree just for me, and then scold me for climbing it? Mommies are strange sometimes...

Thankful

As a member of the Furry Federation, I am following this month's assignment to write a diary entry about things I am thankful for.

I'm thankful:

- I have a loving family and a warm home
- I get along with that silly doggie, Baby, who is now too big to steal my bed away from me, ha!
- Mommy carries me around on her shoulder whenever I ask! (And I do ask; I stretch way up on her leg almost like a kid holding his arms out saying "hold me"! She knows what I mean!)
- For catster and dogster! What a great place this is, even though they've had some fleas lately, mol! We've joined fun groups and made a lot of great friends!

Last but not least I want to say a special thank you to the Playful Pups who helped our mommy put our pages together! They did a great job!
