eeeeeeeek! I have been tagged by Nefertary!


The rules:
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write in their own diary about the seven random facts and the rules. 1. I just got a new sectional with recliners on the ends but I have figured out how to make myself only 3 inches tall so that I can still squeeze underneath.
2. I walk around the house howling a lot right before I go in to use my kitty box
3. I know what suitcases are for and I get upset when I see them come out of the closet
4. I like to sit on my humans' laps while they are eating. I don't try to eat their food or anything, I just like to be part of the group.
5. I don't like kitty treats
6. I don't like when the humans sit in my recliner chair. I will wait until they stand up for a second and they I will jump up under their rear so they can't sit down again.
7. I like to ride in the car

springtime!

hello peeps! I have not posted for a while. I have been going through a naughty phase where I chew on cords. Even power cords. So the humans have seriously restricted my access to such things, making it difficult to use the computer. Anyway, things here have been a bit slow. My friend Amalia has moved to Singapore where she is having fabulous adventures, but I am stuck here alone. There is a new doggy in the area - I can smell him on my humans sometimes. But so far I have not got to meet him. Too bad, I think we would have a great time chasing around the house! Luckily, dad has moved the human footrest thing to a position right in front of the living room window. I LOVE to sit there and look out at the world. There are some birds in the yard that are so entertaining. Much more fun than my brother who just sits in his cage yelling and does not come out to play. Outside is so interesting. A few days ago, our friend came over to visit and left the front door open a bit. I finally worked up my courage to slink out and see what was happening. The humans thought it was very funny to see my crawl on my tummy. Boy was it dirty out there, and it smelled weird. I think from now on I will stick to watching the outdoors from a safe distance.

The house is mine!

Well, my friend Amalia left this week. Her short human came to pick her up, but she was very happy here and didn't want to go! My dad had to carry her out to the car cause she wouldn't let her human do it. And she still got a pretty good scratch on dad's arm with her back paw. It was pretty fun having her here - you can see from the picture that I even let her try out my kitty tree. With 2 of us here, we had those humans on the run. Now that she is gone, they have taken over again. Everything is all cleaned and vacuumed. No comfy little piles of kitty fur anywhere. Today they even gave me a bath, it was horrible! Sometimes I have to take a little walk around the house and call for her just to make sure she is really gone and not just hiding.

I finally convinced mom to put some new pictures on the website here. One is me taking a little nap with dad. Another one shows you just how handsome I am - my uncle Craig took it of me. He is very good, I might have to commission him to do a few more.

Hello World

ok, it seems that this blogging thing is becoming so popular that I must give it a try. Also, I finally have an interesting event to write about. As a computer geek, I feel I must title this first entry "hello world".

The humans have not let me on the computer for a while now and I am shocked to see that they have not updated my web page recently! Those pictures are out of date - I am a big kitty now, and I am darker in color too. Must be all those hours napping in the sun.

The other evening my friend Amalia came to visit me. She has been here once before for a short time, but this time she moved in! Luckily I am a generous kitty and do not mind sharing my house with her. As long as she does not think she can take over my humans! She has been here for a few days now. I heard something about her short-human being out of town. I think she is a lot of fun but a little paranoid. She went in the guest bathroom the first day and didn't want to come out for a long time. Mom even closed the door to keep me from going in to visit her. I guess girls need privacy or something.

Anyway, last night she came out of her room for quite a while to play. Its a good thing I like to be chased because she is very good at chasing. She also makes this odd hissing noise at me while she is chasing me. I have to be careful not to stop before she is ready to stop or she will smack me! Mom and Dad got her cornered late last night and put some of those plastic claw cover thingys on her claws so she can't scratch me by mistake. She did not seem to like that. I don't know why, because I have been wearing them forever and they don't bother me - they keep me from snagging on the carpet when I run around.

I tried to take a turn chasing her but she didn't seem to like that as much, so I let her chase me instead. Sometimes she forgets about me and I have to sneak up and pounce on her to remind me she is supposed to be chasing me. She will growl at me if she sees me coming, I think to tell me that I am not trying hard enough to be sneaky so I should try again.

Anyway, so far it is pretty fun to have a roommate. I like drinking out of her water dish, but the other night she tried to eat out of my food dish and I didn't like that too much. Also I wish she would watch tv with me and the humans. If I am on the humans' laps, she will not come over and sit by me. And she doesn't like it if the humans try to pick her up. Maybe she is just not cultured enough to like TV yet. I'm sure a week at my house will fix that though.
