My Excursion in the snow

It must have snowed a little over a foot here in Tahoe. Usually when it is cold
and been snowing, we cats reserve the right not to go out for our morning walk, but kind hearted daddy will put on his heavy winter coat, and his knitted cap and sit on the floor with the sliding glass door open to see if either of us is interested. Usually, we both just sit, one on each side of him and look out into the cold morning air.

But this time, I decided to check it out, so I climbed down on the first step, wiggled my butt and then jumped in the snow with all fours. The fresh snow almost buried me. Now what do I do. I have to figure out how to get back out of it without taking any more steps. It took me about 20 seconds of debating, until I practically did a 180 degree turn in mid air and managed to get myself back on the step in one leap. Then I stood there and one by one shook all four of my little paws before coming back in the house and again sitting down next to dad and looking out at the snow.

Boy, is that stuff cold!
