Just after Mum typed an update on Grandpa she open her emails to find out that I'm a daily diary pick.

I haven't been a diary pick for a while. I would like to thank HQ and the diary chick for giving me honour. I don't write in my diary unless there is something worth writing anymore. So it makes this honour evne more special when I get it.

Purrs and hugs your Aussie mate.

Another update on Grandpa

I haven't written anything about my Grandpa so I thought it was time for an update.

Not really sure when Grandpa will be coming home but he saw the big cat doctor or should I say the head oncologist that looking after his treatment today. He made it very clear to Grandpa that he's doing better and won't be sent home until it safe to do so.

They are still pumping Grandpa with anti biotics through an IV line in his neck and until they can stop doing that Grandpa needs to stay in hospital. Mum and Grandma were happy to hear this as they don't want any repeat performances.

We don't really know why this happened apart from the fact Grandpa's immune system is really compromised at the moment due to the chemo treatments. He got two infections at once.

But I know one thing that all the purring that be going on for Grandpa has helped and it has meant the world to Mum and I have your support. Please keep the purrs going since Grandpa has another 8 chemo treatments to go and we don't want this happening again.

Again thanks for all your purrs and support.

Purrs and hugs your Aussie mate.

Grandpa won't be coming home until Tuesday at the earliest. The doctors want to give him more of the really strong anti biotics through an IV and his permanent IV line needs to be put back in before they'll send him home.

We were told today that he had two infections at once and both were nasty. If hadn't come in when did the doctor told him the infections could've killed him.

Sorry this update is a bit late. We had the mother of all storms and we lost power of four hours. Mum typing this for me since she having trouble sleeping.

Can you please keep the purrs coming as I know they are helping Grandpa.

I hope this finds all my mates and their families happy and healthy and I send my purrs to those doing it tough.

Sorry this update is a bit late. Mum's graphics card in her computer blew up the other night and we had no computer for the night.

Grandpa is doing a lot better and may come home on Friday. He is still on the strong anti biotics but he is getting better and the infection went down to a low grade one very quickly.

He up giving the nurse cheek and that always a good sign that he's getting better and being told to go for walks. He hangs out for Grandma to bring him the paper everyday.

I want to thank all my mates for there support. The diary comments have all been read and are really appreciated. I love being a part of the catster community as it is very supportive to those in need.

Another call to purrs for my Grandpa

I need to ask all my mate to join me purring for my Grandpa. As most of my mates know he is having chemo for bowel cancer and had three treatments with minimal side effects.

Well today that all changed. Mum, Grandma and Grandpa went out shopping so Mum could buy part of Grandma Christmas present. Grandpa said he was feeling unwell and they came home.

They called the oncology ward to ask them what do and they said call an ambulance straight away and get him to hospital. Grandma took him at 5:30pm and three hours later a low grade infection turned into a high grade infection.

He has been admitted to hospital for tests and then to be treated.

Could all my mates please keep him in your purrs or what ever else you do.

An update on me

Went to the vet this morning and I'm happy to say that the stitches are out and I'm now fully healed. The vet and the vet nurse made a fuss over me and couldn't believe it when mum told them that was 14.

I don't have go back to the vet now unless I get sick again or for my wellness exam which ever come first. I have been to the vet 5 times altogether so I hope it's my wellness exam that comes first in 12 months time.

I want to thank all my mates for purring for me. I really appreciate it and one of the great things about catster. When I'm in need there are a lot of great mates here for me.

Another update about me

I went to the vet this morning and I'm happy to report that my foot is healing well and there is no sign of infection. With all the anti biotics Grandpa and mum have been pumping me with there wouldn't want to be an infection.

The doc was happy to leave the bandage off but mum told her about my going outside and going bush bashing. So they decided to put another bandage on until Thursday when the stitches will be removed. So I don't do it before then.

Mum was also concerned about me getting outside and pulling the stitches out and I can't blame her for that. They've put a different coloured bandage on it every time it's been done and this time I have a bright green one. Mum won't miss me in it it's that bright and I think this one is my favourite coloured one.

I hope this finds all my mates and their families happy and healthy and I send my purrs to those doing it tough.

I went to the vet this morning

I went to the vet this morning to have my bandage changed and my foot checked. The foot is healing well but I needed to have a new bandage put on it. The vet said as long as I don't chew it or get it wet the foot will be fine.

I even had a choice of colours for my bandage and I got a mancat blue one put on this time. Mum asked for a pink one but the vet said blue is good colour for boys and it matches well with my grey fur. I'd glad the vet won on that one.

I go back to the vet on Friday for another bandage change and check up. At leas this time I can go to the vet offices that are closer to me the drive over was in peak hour traffic and Grandpa was yelling at the other drivers.

I'm so glad to be home. Going to go and find somewhere to have nap. I know my pill will be coming soon.

I'm home from the vet

Happy to say I am home from the vet after my two day stay. As most of you know I had my infected toe removed and fluids for dehydration. Mum didn't realise that I was dehydrated until she took me to the vet on Wednesday. After the fluids I feel a lot better.

I didn't like being caged up for two days but most of yesterday I was too bombed out on pain meds after the surgery to care much. Everyone at the vets were so nice to me and I was good to them.

One of the first things I did after go home and ate a full can of fancy feast was give mum a long cuddle with lots of purrs. I wanted to let her know that there's no hard feelings. I love her and know she only does what's in my best interests at heart.

My foot still hurts a bit but it's getting better. Now that this toe is gone the vet is confident that the infection won't come back. If it does mum has the toe they removed in a cupboard somewhere. So they can test it. Have to say I'll be happy if I never see it again.

Here is a cat fact we learnt at the vet the other day. cats are born with three legs and a spare. I didn't know that. I'm happy to get rid of this toe but I don't want to try the three leg theory out any time soon.

I want to thank everyone that purred for me, sent rosettes and made comments on my diary. They mean a lot to mum and me that there are so many kitties out in catsterland that care about me.

Every message was read and really appreciated.

I hope this diary find my mates and their families happy and healthy and I send my purrs to those doing it tough.
