I'm so glad I found out I was a DDP last week. If I missed anyone to say thank you to I apawlogize.
Meowmie had to go away for five days and missed my DDP. Our catsitters did their best on food, medicine, water and litter boxes but there was a mix up and we did not get fed for 24+ hours the last day meowmie was away. One of the sitters came down with bronchitis and asthma and we're not sure if she just didn't show up or called the other sitter, but in any event we were starving when meowmie got home, we had almost no water and the litter box runneth over. This combo of sitters worked well before but this time did not get to the finish line very well so other arrangements will be made when meowmie is away in the future.
I'm still on the powdered medicine and meowmie is once again patrolling that I eat it all and don't let Meep muscle in on my dab of cat tuna. She is not sure I got all the medicine I should have. She wishes I could talk people talk and tell her . . .

Meowmie gave up on giving me pills. I would not swallow them whether they were unceremoniously deposited in my mouth or snuck into my precious tasty turkey cat food. So sneaky meowmie went to even sneakier vet man and got some icky yellowish powder.
I'm supposed to get 1/16 of a teaspoon twice a day. what in tarnation is 1/16 of a teaspoon? Meowmie and the nice reception lady worked very hard on figuring it out, weighing empty bottles and then subtracting that weight from the medicine bottle. Turns out I need .3 grams twice a day and that meowmie's food scale does not register that small an amount. So she is putting eensy little bits in the middle of my nice wet turkey cat food. I try to eat Meep's food but meowmie is policing me as much as she can and she is not sure how much of the nasty powder I am actually eating.
So far I have had only small accidents outside the box since going to the vet man and my poops are a little bit better too, so meowmie is going to work diligently on getting that ugly medicine into me. I heard mention of some cat tuna coming my way tonight. I hope the tuna taste is stronger than the medicine because I am learning to eat around it being the smart cat princess that I am, I mean, a girl needs to keep her strength up.

Yesterday meowmie and Auntie Bean took me to the v-e-t. I did not want to go but I had some poop accidents and meowmie decided it was time for professional attention. They are testing the poop for parasites, bacteria and other baddies as I write. The v-e-t has done this before but the tests always come back negative. I've also take probiotic powder but that didn't help at all.
In the meantime I've been given some pills to help with the diarrhrea. This vet is very nice and very willing to work hard to get me better. That said, meowmie told him I will spit out every pill I'm ever given, I won't eat greenies or other pill pockets, I won't eat any people food and I am not going to eat any foreign objects (like pills) snuck into bits of my cat food. The vet tech said to put me into a separate room with a tiny bit of food and the pill until I learn that I have to eat it in order to get the rest of my food. Meowmie tried that this morning and I ate around the pill. She checked on me after an hour and when she saw I didn't eat the pill she took the food away.
I tried to eat Meep's food as soon as I got out of lock-up and he snapped at me! Then he got scared and is hiding.
So meowmie is writing to ask your help on what other techniques she could possibly use because she wants me to get better without stressing me and Meep and herself. She's tried all sorts of different cat food and litter and I still have poop problems. Next week she goes back to work and is looking to establish a new routine before then, the Great Cat willing. . .

Sending out healing purrs to all the furs and peeps in Beantown, Texas and Chicago especially and the rest of the world too. This has been a very stressful week. When humans and nature collide and humans just plain go crazy I can only say thank goodness I am a cat and purray for peace.

Five Things I Like About Spring--thanks, Moe Moe, for inviting us all to play! Passing this on to whichever cat would like to join in-
1. The cranky loud furnace does not rumble so much.
2. The birds sing to announce themselves -- don't even have to look hard for them!
3. There are flowers to eat inside.
4. Sunshine is nice and warm.
5. Lounging in the enclosed front porch and watching the world go by.

Does snow make you tired? All those flakes floating down, swirling around, making everything whiter and whiter and whiter . . . (eyes go blink blink, head settles on paws, snoring commences) . . .

We're starting to get a blizzard, not the nice kind like our furriend Blizz, but the big cold extremely windy and snow-filled type. Kitties and doggies, too, - please stay in and under the cover, on the couch or cuddled up - those are all good choices for today through tomorrow. Yes, Meep, I will not run out in the storm like I did with Superstorm Sandy - Nemo definitely has me grounded. I guess we don't have to wonder about where Nemo went - he's right here!

P is my favorite letter in the whole alphabet. There are just so many wonderful things that start with P like:
peonies, pansies and petunias
peaches and pomegranites
peanuts, popcorn and potato chips
perspicatcity [cat in middle of word-MOL!]
polo, paddling, patrolling
pebbles, pencils and pens
painting, Parchesi and ping pong
purple, pink and plaid
and most important of all:
petting and purring.
I love the letter "P".

Happy Mew Year's! Get your party hats on and your dancing feet bouncing to the music. Get some tasty treats and lots of nip. Let's celebrate!
Hope the new year is warm and has lots of full food dishes and all the kitties who need furever homes get matched with humans who need furever cats. Here's purring to you, kits!

yes, mommy, that's what I asked you to type for the title of this entry. I know you wash your face but I do it better!
Around 7:00 a.m., which is late but when the sun seems to come up, I go in the bed with meowmie and settle in right up at the top of her chest. Like I am a scarf or a boa. I purr very loud and then I clean her face. Meowmie tries to stop me by petting my face and head, but really that only works a little bit. I need to lick every spot I can reach to make sure she meets the day cat-clean.
Then she gets sick of me being in the bed and gets up to feed me. Cleaning is so good!
