Four years old!! August 8, 2010

Mommie woke me up this morning and said "Happy Birthday, Fasa!" She said she can't believe I am four year old. It seems like only a little while ago when she fell in love with my (baby) picture on Catster. But I was 10 months old when she made the trip to LaCrosse to pick me up (waves hello to Adobe and his Mom!!!! We love you for letting me come live here with Mommie!!)
A lot has happened since then, including the addition of my two Puerto Rican sisfurs! And my becoming a more snuggly and affectionate kittie. I love my Mommie, and give her frequent gentle head bonks. I have even learned to occasionally curl up in her lap and purr!!!
Mommie says today we got lots of Birthday greetings already on Facebook and Catster. We are so thankful to have such wonderful friends and aunties. But mostly, we are thankful for each other, and our life together. (Curls up in his window chair for a nap) It's so nice to have a furever home!

Visit to Dr. Berg

Well, today Mommie came home from work and she put me in one of those carrier things. Then she went and chased Bella around the house til she could catch her and put her in one too. Off we went in the car to Dr. Berg's office.
When we got there, Mommie put Bella on the table. I stayed in my carrier and serenaded Mommie and the Dr. while they check Bella and gave her a nasty shot. The Doctor and his assistant told Mommie that Bella was Beautiful and that she looks healthy. Mommie and Dr. Berg talked about her asthma, which is under pretty good control.
Then it was my turn. Dr. Berg examined me, checked my ears (cuz I had problems with them before, but all I have now is earwax), and gave me a nasty shot too. Then he told Mommie that he wished all of the kitties he sees looked like me! (He must really like orange!!!)
(Fasa's Mommie here: Dr. Berg actually loves the way Fasa looks, mainly because he is a very muscular, lean kittie with a healthy appearance. He says he sees too many indoor cats that are overweight or have poor muscle tone. He says Fasa looks like cats are supposed to look, and is amazed that he is an indoor-only cat. I guess allowing him to climb and race around the house like a lunatic keeps him in good shape!)

Mommie's boy April 8, 2009

Well, Mommie isn't sure what is happening with me. I have become more and more cuddly lately. Now I have started to sleep at night by Mommie's head. Sometimes on her pillow! And I come and sit by her on the couch sometimes too. She is happy, because I have always been quite independent and a little aloof, and now I am showing more and more affection. Oh, and that purr thing? I can do that really good now. I guess practice does make purrrrrfect!!!!

I am the happiest kittie in the world! My beautiful girlfriend Bobbie Sue has agreed to become my wife! Yep, I am an engaged kittie. She is such a beautiful girl, and so attentive and sweet. I am walking on air!

So some of you may have heard that I have never been much of a cuddler. Mommie was hoping that I would gradually change and start to be more affectionate, but she has always allowed me to be me! Well, lately I have been much closer to being a 'cuddly kittie". I have gotten rather comfortable sitting next to Mommie on the sofa, frequently giving her head bonks and accepting pets from her. I have gotten so I love it when she scritches me, and I even flip over and let her pet my tummy. And, surprisingly I have even started sleeping on the bed with her and the girls (Bella and Little Coqui) at night. But last night I did something I have NEVER done before. I was next to Mommie's pillow when I felt this little rumbling in my throat. It felt kind of nice, so I just let it continue and it got louder. Suddenly, Mommie woke up, looked over at me and said "Fasa, you are purrring!!!??!! Well, I didn't know I could even do that, and neither did Mommie. But I guess I am getting so comfortable here with my family that I finally have discovered a purrrr! The girls do it all the time, but last night was a first for me. It feels pretty good, so I think I'll practice it more often. Maybe I'll become a master purrrer? Got to go practice, Purrrrs from Mufasa

My sisfur is a brat!!! August 17, 2008

OK, so she is cute. And she is fun to play with. But my little sisfur, Little Coqui, can also be a BRAT!!! She does stuff to irritate Mommie, and the worst part is that then we all have to suffer. Why should I be shut out of the bedroom, for even a few minutes, just because SHE gets in trouble? And now, here she is, lying in the middle of the bed looking sooo sweet and innocent. But Mommie knows that it's all her fault that things get knocked down and messed up in the bedroom, no matter how innocent she pretends to be. I guess not all cats can be good kitties like me, right Mommie?

OMC!!! It started on my Birthday, August 6. My new little sisfur, Little Coqui, set up a birthday party for me in the Forums and invited many of my friends to join me. She even went to the BOCU under my identity and invited my orangie friends!! It was a wonderful day for me. The party was great, I got lots of rosettes and prezzies, Mommie got me a new chair, some new toys and gave me extra treats. When she came home from work, we looked at all my prezzies from my Catster friends, and among them was one from a beautiful orange and white girl named Bobbie Sue McGee. She said I was handsome and I was just floating on cloud nine. And she came to my party!!! So I asked my brofur-in-law Tucker if she had a boyfriend. He thought she did, but said he would find out fur me. Well, She wrote to me the next day and she is sooo sweet. I think she may be the kittie of my dreams!!! (some of you know I haven't had much luck in the romance department, so I don't want to get my hopes up too high. But she is a member of one of our favorite Catster families, so that is good!!) I am sooo excited!!! I want to learn all about her, but I'm sure she is as beautiful on the inside as she is one the outside. And she is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!! What a wonderful Birthday!!!!

The Big Bang!!! April 7, 2008

So, it started this way. Mommie was climbing up on this ladder-type thing in the middle of the kitchen (which is obviously MY domain!!). She was saying something about how she hates heights, but had to change the light bulb (into WHAT?, I might ask!!) She brought down this square glass thing and set it on the counter. Then she said, "Oh, two of them are out". She came down and started to walk toward the hall. I was watching and went to see about the glass thing on the counter when all of a sudden, there was a big bang and the glass thing was all over the floor!!! (Guess I looked a little too close?). I jumped off the counter and ran to the back room, cuz I heard Mommie yell. Then I snuck around the corner, and she looked at me, but instead of yelling she asked me if I was okay. Then she came and petted me and checked my fur (she said she wanted to make sure I hadn't gotten hit by the glass). She hugged me and said she was glad I was all right. Now she says she has to go look for a new glass thing. She wouldn't let me back in the kitchen right away though, not even to ride around on the broom, which I love to do. I had to wait until she was done with the broom, how fair is that?

No longer Blue!! February 22, 2008

I am once again a brilliant orange kittie. And a very happy kittie as well. The beautiful Sadie has told me she likes me and has agreed to be my date for my brofur BeeJay's wedding!!! I am so excited. She is the most beautiful kittie I have efur met. I think I am falling in love. I can hardly wait until the wedding. I have my tux, I'll have my girl, I think it will be a wonderful time. Only one week to go. (I have a girlfriend!! How special she is!!)

I'm a blue orange cat February 18, 2008

I know I'm supposed to be orange, but right now I'm blue. I have tried to find a girlfriend, and have had absolutely no luck. The worst part is, I'm supposed to be in my angel brofur BeeJay's wedding in two weeks and I don't have a date!! I have so far been talking to three different girl kitties (one at a time-I am not a ladie's cat!) The first one just quit talking to me, then I met another one and she left Catster. The third one, who I really like, saw a rosette on my page from the one who left Catster and since then hasn't contacted me (I sent a p-mail to explain the rosette and to tell her how I felt, but I haven't heard back). So hear I sit, a blue orange kittie. What's a cat to do?
