I have to be highly motivated, but the sky is the limit here....
About 2 years ago, my girlfriend called me, almost in tears, and asked for my help. I said yes yes yes and she told me she found a cat in desperate shape (we had just seen our Toshiro travel the Rainbow Bridge) and she couldn't take this cat in because they were at max with rescued cats....could I take a look at this kitty and if I didn't like her (ha ha ha) she would find another place for her. Short story: Mitsouko lived in a cardboard box on the dining room table for 2 weeks until she felt safe. She was near death from exposure , starvation, and had healing gashes on her face (her cornea is still scarred), her flank, and she still walks with a slight limp. It took us nearly a year to beat her anemia with food and medicine, but now she is fine and plump and happy, a fearless and easy going cat who loves her new pal, Willow Moth. My friend visits her regularly and Mitsouko is now the happy ruler of our home, I don't know what we did without her!
We have no real idea of her age, the vet thinks she is about 3 years old.
Mitsouko crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 3:30PM, 4-2-08. We are still crying.....
I am the kindly ruler of all I survey.

I do love this time of year. I like sitting in the yard with my person by me and watch the leaves come down. I like swiahing my paws through the leaves and I look so very elegant all in black silky fur with the red and yellow leaves. The geese fly over in big flocks and Willow Moth gets soooo excited, but I just like to watch them fly by. My person loves the geese and I like to sit with her on the deck and touch her hand with my paw. And since the nights are chilly, I get to curl up in the feather comforters on her bed with my own little blanket piece under me--I do so like 100% wool. there is just nothing like it. I think I feel a nap coming on. It has been a lively day. The furnace man came to check the furnace so that I do not get cold this winter--imagine a whole company put together just to keep me comfortable--and I had to supervise him and explain to willow why he was here so she didn't go under the bed and look like a big silly. And I went outdoors too. That's a lot to take care of. Now I have to go get my brushing while my person watches a movie. She likes westerns and I do too. I like watching the horses. Then I like to sleep....take care, all those of you who read this, and I wish you all the very best, nice food, soft beds, and lots of love.
