Likes:
Being scratched under the chin, rubbing my face on a book when someone is reading, cuddling up with my family when I'm in the mood.

Pet-Peeves:
getting my teeth brushed, the sheltie, an empty water bowl, strangers who try to pick me up, that annoying song "Cat Scratch Fever"--what was that guy thinking, anyway?.

Favorite Toy:
those plastic circles that come on plastic milk containers, mom's earrings that fall on the floor, occasional cat nip toys.

Favorite Nap Spot:
next to the heat register, in a laundry basket, AND the big people bed (preferably on one of the big people.)

kibble, corned beef, baby Ritz crackers

Arrival Story:
We got her from the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago. Initially, we had our eye on a long haired, gray kitty in the crate next door but that cat was cranky and hissed a lot. Shoshana kept meowing for us to come over and when we picked her up she purred like a motorboat. It was love from day 1. She was a tremendous trooper for 18 years, sticking by mom through marriage, adoption, betrayal, divorce, remarriage, several moves, kids and dogs. She and her brother dachsund were always very cool with eachother. She and her brother the hyper shetland sheepdog were coming to an understanding, of sorts. Shoshana died of cancer in December, 2007. Our family misses her very much.

Bio:
Elliott, my adoption counselor at the ACS said I was probably the runt of the litter. I remain very petite. I seem demure but can outrun the dog any day, even as a senior cat. I used to have a brother, Raven, but he ran away from home.

Forums Motto:
