Good News!!

My new friend, MAGO pmailed me today to tell me that the weather is good where he lives in Spain!!! He has invited me and Oly-Pie to visit. So I looked up Spain on a map, and then mapquested to check the route. If I can't get us onto one of the big metal birds, then I have to figure out something else. There's a lot of water between here and Spain. I don't like the water so I don't want to swim, and I doubt Oly does either. And I'm not sure, but I have never known mama to take her motor machine into the water. I have heard mama talk of "cruises" on these hyooge boats, so I think that may be the way to go. It would take us a while to get there...after I pick up Oly, I guess we'd travel down to Texas to leave out of one of their ports. But I think this will work. And then while Oly and I journey to Spain, we can bask in the sunbeams, dance the night away, and eateateat to our hearts' content!!!

Yup, this plan is sounding better all the time!!

Mission Impawsible??

Okay, I'm sure many of you kitties out there can understand why I just can't take the stress anymore. My sweet, beloved Oly-Pie has been surrounded by pawful storms and twisties and hail and flooding for weeks now. I'm constantly worried about her, and always pestering mama to check the weather reports for me. And of course when we hear about a storm, then we have to look up the report on it and do some Mapquesting...

I told Oly to get her bags packed. I have been waiting for an opportunity all day, but mama was working from home and kept bouncing back and forth between her office - where her own typy is - and the kitchen counter where she works on the flat typy...She would have caught me for sure.

Oh wait, you don't know what my plan is! I'm going to get mama's plastic money, her cell talkie, and the magic jinglies that turn on the moving motor machine. Now, I have to find a booster seat and some leg extensions for the motor machine, and I have to figure out how I'm going to open the big door to the room where the motor machine sits waiting. I told Oly that if I just drive through that door I'm pretty sure mama will hear and she'll run out and stop me. I just couldn't run over mama. Maybe I can talk Ele' and Gimme into coming with me to help drive the motor machine. Gimme drives a motorcycle so he could help me steer and navigate, and Ele' could pretend that she's dancing and engineer the pedals. I think if I get my doggie to follow me out to the storage room for the motor machine, and throw a frisbee up near the door button, that he'll jump to get the frisbee and hit the button to open the door. Sound good?

But then I'm gonna drive to the place where they have the big metal birds. And if they don't let me on one (and I don't see why they wouldn't - Aldo got to fly on one last weekend), then I'm going back out to my motor machine and I'll just drive all the way to Kansas to get my Oly-Pie. And then we'll go someplace where the weather is not so pawful. We've just started hurrycane season here.

Does anyone know where the weather is not so pawful?

A Good Read

A couple of weeks ago there was an ad on Catster for a book, and the ad caught mama's eye. So she clickied on it and followed it to find out about the book. Now, mama collects children's books, particularly the kind with good illustrations or very unusual stories or antique books. Well, this book met the first two criteria, and has the look of an antique book. So mama ordered it from Amazon. The book is "The Cat Who Wouldn't Come Inside", by Cynthia von Buhler. I read it with mama and looked at the pictures and we both enjoyed it very much!!! I give it two paws up!

I Got Mail!!

I got some mail this week!! I joined a new group, Catsters Around the World, and we are doing a postcard exchange. This week I got my furst postcard from none other than BOOGERS!! His postcard shows pictures from Washington DC, because he lives so close, AND...because that is where mama is doing her 3DAY WALK FOR BREAST CANCER...AND because Boogers' mama is thinking about doing the walk, too! Wouldn't that be pawsome if she did the walk and maybe joined up on mama's team?!?! Mama says she hasn't been to DC since she was 12 years old, and she's looking forward to going back.

Now! I gotta get some postcards to send out!!

Birthday Pawty!!!

Oh, tomorrow is Gimme's and Ele's birthday!!!! I can't wait! Gimme's girlfriend, Phoebe (and her family) have set up a GROUP TO HOST THE PAWTY. The pawty is lookin' great and it should be a lot of fun. Mama will be home so she says we can pop in and out all day!!

My Puppy...

...is having a birthday today!!!! GEELY is turning four today!!! I love my puppy. I think he is so wonderful, and I love to cuddle up with him and nuzzle him. Although sometimes I get carried away and put the bitey on him. I have to try not to do that today!! MOL Hopefully he'll get some new tennis balls fur his birthday, because he shares them with me!!!

Santy Claws 'n Such

As mama pawmised, Santy Claws found us in our new home!!!!!! Santy left us lots of wonderful things: we got treats and a new tent and a new bed and some toys! And on Christmas Eve, we had friends and family over, and they even brought wrapped packages to us!! For Christmas dinner, mama gave us each a special chicken dinner and it was sooooo tasty!! It was a really nice Christmas!!

Unfortunately, looks like I have to back to the v-e-t tomorrow. I'm still having pee problems. My most recent flare up (totally unexplainable) seems to be worse. The only thing that mama HAS noticed that seems to be a common factor is that sometimes...for whatever reason...I basically stop drinking water. Won't even drink it from my favorite fountain. And of course soon after the pee problem flares up. Mama doesn't think this is her imagination, but with three of us plus the doggie, sometimes it's hard to monitor everything that we all do or don't do. Her other fear is that maybe I have a growth that is putting pressure on my bladder. We do know fur certain that there is not a blockage and this is not a bacterial issue. So anyway, tomorrow mama will probably ask to have me referred to the specialist. "The Specialist". That sounds so James Bond...

Catching Up, Part 2

Next we need to thank all of our Catster friends who have been sending us Christmas cards!!!! Mama gets a kick out of it when her human friends ask her why there are so many cards with kitties pictured on them. MOL We love getting our cards, and they're all displayed on the bookcases in our living room, for everyone to see!
