Suki came to me when I went to a house to get a new kitten. Three were brought out for me to view, one was Suki, and the other two were her brothers. Her brothers black and white were playing with each other, Suki sat back and watched them not moving. Mum had instructed me not to get a female and not to get black and white so I was in a quandry. I decided to get Suki because she was so pretty. I gave a £5 donation and put her in a red and black check bag which was huge and caught a taxi home.
On arrival my brothers and sister and Mum crowded round to see the new arrival. I carefully removed little 6 week old Suki from the bag. My brothers and sister who were much younger than me looked at her in amazement, desperate to have a hold. I put Suki on the floor and she just sat there. She wasn't a bouncy kitten at all, just quietly taking everything in - A Thinker.
Mum moved to Lincoln and took Suki with her, I was left in Brighton with my Dad to finish a course. 5 Years later I moved to Lincoln so I missed Suki's kittenhood, but Mum kept me regularly updated with her life and mishaps. In 1991 I got my first rented house and asked permission for Suki to come live with me. Permission was granted and I collected Suki. She went up onto the landing and just sat there looking at me through the bars of the stairs. I thought oh dear she doesn't look happy what have I done. I went out and purchased her food dish and litter and came home. On returning I went into the kitchen, there on the floor was my defrosting chicken portion for my dinner! I went back and looked up, she just peered at me again from her vantage point giving me the wasn't me look. From then on we were inseperable until she passed away from old age on 28th Sept 2006.

Suki's Final Message To Me:
Sept 28th 2006 While I was shopping in the garden centre, buying her planter and plants for her burial, Somewhere Over The Rainbow started playing, now previously when I've lost relatives Rainbows have appeared either during or after the funeral, so I took this to mean Suki was sending me this song as her way of saying I've made it to Rainbow Bridge, both me and Mum just looked at each other and said Suki.

I have been tagged to play the Christmas Fishes game, ok it's Christmas Wishes but I changed it to Fishes cos it's more catlike. Anway my 5 Fishes are:
1. For my Meowmy to know how much I loved her and still do and long to see her again
2. For Billy and Merlin to love Meowmy as much as I did
3. For my Meowmy to keep up the good cat charity work she does
4. For all lost kitties to go home and be reunited with their Pawrents
5. For all Christmouse kitties to have a wonderful Christmouse and a Purry Mew Year
