Arrival Story:
I work closly with One 4 All Animal Rescue here in Clovis as her cat person/everything else, and I got a call that there was an old cat in the pound that was going to be gassed (the pound uses the gas chamber to kill the unwanted ones. Every year the numbers are staggering ) that day. She said we just had to rescue it, but it had problems and it was about the uglyest cat ever. I said not problem, grabbed a crate and headed down there. Sure enoph there sat the most uglyest Pursian I had ever seen. Instand love at first sight. He had cateracts, half of an ear missing, a cyst beging to form on his eye, his jaw looked like it had broken one too many times and never healed right, he has 4 remaining teeth in his mouth, and his tongue must be 1/2 a foot long!, and last but not least his tail had to be amputated because half had turn black(pretty much died). Lets not even talk about the hundreds of fleas under the matting that had to be all shaved off. We took him home and schedualed his surgury, which turned out great. After about a month living with us, we absalutly fell in love with him and officially adopted him. Sam has found his forever home! If may not be for many years, but he finally knows love and a warm meal in his little tummy everynight.

Bio:
He must be around 14 years old, and unfotunatly time is really starting to catch up with him. He seams to "check out" quite frequesntly, just staring off into space, or staring into a wall. If he moves its only beacause he has to eat, drink or poop, or if one of the forsters are messing with him. But does he still love music!

Adagio is Leaving Us

Well, sad news...Adagio is being transported out to ALQB Humane Society today. Momma and Daddy said that it is him time to find a forever home, and he can't stay with us. They said it would be selfish of us to keep him, expecially since we have so many other's to help. And they are right, but I'm still going to miss the heck out of him. On the bright side, Tickles the other foster cat is finally out of quaranteene...I think he's been there for about a month. But he still lives in the cage, he's just been moved into the main house. He was living outside all the time, so he's never been in a house. Oh and we're moving this weekend to a bigger house! I can't wait. But the downside is I have to be kenneled when mommy and daddy are not home because my peeing promblem has gotten a lot worse. I can't help it though, and they know it. They will only will let me out when they are home. And it really is not going to bother me too much. The kennel is the very big one, and I really don't move much to begin with...so I think in the long run it will work out. Anywho, I'm out!

New foster is here!

Its been a while since I've written I know. Have had a few slow days. Well the new foster is here, even though I only seen him once. He's in quarenteen, because he's really sick right now. But he'll get better. Callie came back to visit with us, Momma and Daddy thought they sure had found a home for her, but the lady broke out in a severe rash, so Callie is back again. She will be leaving for her foster home on Tuesday. But momma said that they have a slot for her at another no-kill rescue, so that will be good. There's a chance that Adagio will be going to that one too. Me-Mow has been down in the dumps again...she pulled a muscle her leg (no one knows how) so mamma and daddy have been having to giver her water and food and massage her leg. She starting to feel better, and I'm seeing her move a little more. (I think she's a drama queen. Momma thinks so too). And word is, we might be all moving to a new house out in the courty really soon! I have my paws crossed!
See ya...

Life in a 4 cat household

Ah, now there's only 4 of us. In a way that's a good thing, but on the other hand, I miss the young ones. They moved on to another foster home. Word is there will be another really sick kitten moving in here real soon. But she will be quarenteened, and I doubt I will ever see her. I overhear mamma say that the owner is in the hospital and the kitten has such a bad eye infection that momma is afraid that she will go blind. I know that they will fix that baby up, because they fixed me up! I knew that even if there was a new human on the way, they could not stop trying to save the others. There may not be as many, but there will still be. Daddy has been playing the flute a lot more, and its really wierd, but I'm a lot more active when he does that! And Me-mow is really mad about something...I tried to ask her, but she would not tell me. She keep on peeing on daddy clothes. Momma thinks its so funny. They think its because she misunderstood when she said all the cats are going to be going, and me and Adagio are still left behind. And dang right! I'm not going no where! I still can't figure out why she hates me. Eh, the mysteries of life.

P.S. Say a prayer to the One 4 All Animal Rescue Director, Carol. She in the hospital, very sick, and almost died due to a ruptured appendix. She is doing better and keeping her spirits up, but still not out of the woods yet.
