Big Day Here at the Bridge

When a VIP cat is about to make the journey there are several of us that serve as escorts to make sure they are well cared for and have a safe and comfortable trip.

Well I volunteered to be on the escort team for Rocky Ann, of course. There was quite a list of volunteers, but I was lucky enough to be chosen. I am big enough that she could ride on my back if necessary, and she was so very kind to Miles I would do anything to help her.

When we arrived at the entrance, Calvin had a brand new huge Catster sign. It had to be big because RA's basket of hearts nearly blocked her view of everything. In her case, I'm not sure he needed the sign. She would have found him immediately anyway.
But Calvin takes his job very seriously. When we heard yesterday she was coming, he got out his new big sign and polished it all up.

I'm off now to sprinkle angel dust on her family and on Miles. He is very sad.

My Granddaughter

Mama went on a search for Phoebe to find a daughter she could raise so Phoebe wouldn't be so lonely.

I found the prettiest Maine Coon/Norwegian Forest Cat kitten born in November, but she was sort of a tortie. So I kept planting the idea in Mama's head to find a tortie. Finally it all came together today, and Mama found Molly at Maine Coon Rescue.

Molly is a sweet little kitten and will make an excellent companion and daughter to Phoebe. Molly needs a momcat and Phoebe is good at that. She raised Emma and Sophie when they were puppies.

She learned it all from Miles, because I was NO good at raising a kitten. Miles did a great job with Phoebe, and now she can pass it on.

Gimme is starting to get over the shock of being a daddy. MOL!

Santa Had Issues

Harry wants brightly colored mousies for Christmas. He loves the cheese wedge full of mousies best because they're fur and they rattle. He chews the tails off and he loses a lot of them so he can go through a box.

Well Mama had a heck of a time finding them! A lot of places were sold out and the ones she could find were a lot more expensive than they should have been.

So, she finally found a place on the internet to order from, and they sent an email saying "Sorry, we're sold out, but we can substitute the realistic-colored mice." Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

She told them to cancel the order because she specifically wanted the colors. Our carpet is gray and the colors are for Daddy as much as Harry so they can be seen.

Well, lo and behold when they were going to actually lose the order, they found a box of colored mice! Isn't it amazing?

So hopefully Harry will get his Christmas mousies because he loves them so much, and he is the youngest in the family. Allie and Murray are very fond of them too, so they make a great Christmas present for everycat.
