My Bridge Anniversary

Calvin remembered today was my bridge anniversary so he and I are going to sprinkle angel dust over my family and hang out.

Mama doesn't make a lot of effort to remember it, because Daddy has clinical depression and she can't remind him of it. He would go into a downward spiral and that would not be good for anybody.

He and I are extremely close, but the other day he admitted that Allie is becoming just as attached to him since she's maturing. She and Sophie are unofficial therapy animals to keep him from getting too depressed, and they do a good job! Rudy and I had that job when we were there, so we helped find exactly the right animals to pass it down to.

This morning Sophie and Mama went to Starbucks with Daddy and got mocha and muffins to bring home (since Sophie isn't allowed inside the restaurant). When Rudy interviewed for a replacement, she stressed that riding in the car was not negotiable because Daddy needs a companion. Sophie LOVES riding in the car as much as Rudy did too!

I had to divide my replacement duties between Allie and Murray. Murray takes care of Mama and Allie takes care of Daddy. I was a busy cat when I was on earth!

So anymeow, I'm happy at the bridge and since Rudy and I found good replacements, I'm free to help watch over all my other friends on earth like Hazel Lucy, Muppet, Hondo and family, and Picasso's large family, to name just a few.

And I'm very happy to meet Calvin in fur too! I know it was hard for him to leave his family but he really is an invaluable addition to the Catster group at the bridge. He's well on his way to leading the whole group - but of course what would you expect from a cat who's diary is titled "Calvin In Charge?"

Calvin At the Bridge

Our good friend Calvin flew to the bridge this morning after battling cancer for about a month.

Every time a Catster celebrity comes to the bridge there are more and more of us angels waiting to greet him or her! Today there was a huge crowd and everything glowed from our halos! It was beautiful.

Of course, nothing overwhelms Calvin, so he was joking and happy to see us. That doesn't mean he is indifferent to his family's suffering - he's just so happy to not be sick anymore.

Each of us will show him what to do here. I'm in charge of teaching him how to visit his Mom in her dreams. I do that very well.

Meanwhile we're all sprinkling angel dust over Calvins many friends and loved ones. It's a big job.

He's Home

Thank you to all angel cats who helped me take care of Harry while he was walkabout.

He finally allowed himself to be seen and Dad was able to pick him up and bring him home.

We're flying back home ourselves for a nap.
