I miss you Ricki

It would have been your 8th birthday, and I would be enjoying every minute of your peculiar self. When I see a black cat, I think of you. Wait, I think about you more often than that. I miss your wet nose, your glossy black fur. I miss your quiet little meows, and the way you'd tap me on the face or arm if I didn't pay attention to you when you wanted me to. What a special kitty you were. What joy you brought to me.

My comfort is having your sister, Luci.

I miss you my baby.

Thanks to all for your thoughts, gifts, words for Ricki. It has meant so much to me. Love and peace to all of you cat lovers. So many of you have also lost your beloved pets to cancer. Or some of you are dealing with your pet's cancer. Stay strong to all of you. Do what you can for them, and realize that sometimes you have to let go because of an animal's suffering.
