New Strolling Route!

This morning, meowmy and I went on a mile long stroll. This time meowmy did not take me near the lake. Instead we strolled all the way up a big hill on the busy street near us and then we went down a country road a little ways. It was quite interesting. I saw a couple old barns, a factory where I could hear humans busy at work, and I saw some pretty (err, tasty looking) birds. It was quite fun going up and down the hills. Meowmy said that she really got in her work out.

Free Tiki Cat!

Last night my meowmy went to Jammin on Janesville, this block festival that goes on near us every first Friday of the month. Meowmy didn't take me this time as it was too hot and she felt it would probably not be good for me. Anymeow, she said she had a good time and had a very cheap supper there - 3 slices of pizza at Pizza Hut for $3.00, a free organic apple, a free bottle of water, and a free energy bar. Meowmy really lucked out. Anymeow, enough about my meowmy and on to me. Meowmy went into Animal Doctor to see what was going on there and to check out the samples. It turned out they were giving out some free small cans of Tiki Cat. OMC! Free Tiki! I will look forward to enjoying that tomorrow while meowmy goes with Grandmaw and Grandpaw to Summerfest. I also got a free sample of Stella and Chewy's freeze dried treats. I really think they need to have Jammin on Janesville more often if that means Tiki!

Hope everycat's 4th of July weekend is off to as good of a start as mine is. Try to stay cool with the hot weather and don't let the loud booms and light shows in the sky scare you.

Baby Rabbits!

Meow,

Besides those tasty looking robins outside, I've also seen some baby rabbits lately. Today I was sitting near our patio door and a little baby rabbit came onto our patio. I got really excited and started moving side to side like I wanted to get out and catch this yummy looking thing. I thought to myself,"My mouth is watering. This little rabbit looks so delicious." "Meowmy, what is wrong with you? Why won't you let me out so I can catch this rabbit?" Meowmy told me that the baby rabbit was just to look at and to be cute, not for me to eat. Humans sure like to spoil all the fun for us cats, plus they really don't know what good food is.

I'm hoping meowmy will take me out in the stroller this afternoon. The sun is out and the temperature is just purrfect strolling weather.

Celebrate Good Times!

First off, thanks to all my Catster friends who sent me p-mails and rosettes congratulating me on my Daily Diary Pick! I had a wonderful day celebrating. My meowmy was very happy for me. She shared part of her turkey sandwich with me at lunch. At night we walked/strolled over to The Animal Doctor (my V-E-T's office) for the Jammin on Janesville festivities that were going on. I got a free cat treat, a sample of cat food, and meowmy bought me a couple little Hello Kitty catnip toys. They had baked potatoes there for the humans which my meowmy had and she also sampled some natural chocolate which they had there too. She said it really tasted good. Then we walked up a little ways to the Firestone where they had some stuff going on as well. They had an antique car show which we strolled through. There were some pretty pawsome cars there. Then we strolled on home and just stopped by the Muskego Chamber of Commerce as they had a tent outside. Meowmy picked up some info there and one of the ladies there commented on how cute I was in my stroller.

I'm A Daily Diary Pick Today!

Thanks to the Diary Gal for making me a Daily Diary Pick today! She must have liked how I wrote about Loud, Flatulent Scarey Monsters. I thought it was pretty funny myself.

Anymeow, to celebrate today meowmy and I are going to my V-E-T-S tonight. Everycat is probably thinking why on earth is Colleen excited about going to the V-E-T? Well, this time is going to be a fun visit. You see there is going to be construction on the main street near us and they are having different fun events going on at businesses in the area throughout the summer to attract customers during construction. My V-E-T's office just happens to be one of them having stuff going on tonight. I guess they are going to have food for the humans and different things going on for us cats and the doggies too. I sure hope not to many doggies show up. I might have to hiss at them and scare them away from me.

Loud, Flatulent Scarey Monster!

I've discovered yet another scarey monster. This one sounds like he has a severe case of gas though. He seems to be hanging out in our neighbor's basement. You can hear him pooting right through the laundry room walls. Someone really needs to get him some Gas-X. Meowmy tells me Loud, Flatulent Scarey Monster is really a jack hammer. She tells me that our neighbor is having the drain tiles in her basement repaired just like a couple weeks ago when I was locked up in my bedroom. So that is why I was locked away. I guess that was for the better. I wouldn't have wanted to have had an encounter with Loud, Flatulent Scarey Monster.

Besides discovering Loud, Flatulent Scarey Monster this morning, Loud Scarey Monster (aka the lawnmower) has been making a lot of noise outside too. Can't a cat get a little peace and quiet around here? I'm really looking forward to going on a nice peaceful stroll this afternoon by our lake. Maybe I can escape these annoying pests.

It's Hot Out and The Chicken Pawty That Wasn't!

Yesterday, meowmy, Grandmaw and Grandpaw went to a parade and cookout in Elm Grove. Meowmy tells me there were a lot of D-O-G-S there. They had the van from the Elmbrook Humane Society in the parade. I guess I really didn't miss anything with all the D-O-G-S there. At night meowmy made chicken on the grill. She gave me a piece of it and I turned my nose up at it. Meowmy, don't you realize that I do not like grilled chicken?

Also, it was very hot yesterday - 89 degrees out. My meowmy got a little sunburned. Today it was hot as well. Meowmy took me out for a stroll early this morning because of that reason. She didn't want me to overheat. We walked around near Little Muskego Lake. We didn't see any boats out, but saw some of our friendly human neighbors and some birdies.

Hope everycat is getting rested up after the long weekend.

Hide and Seek!

Today meowmy, Grandmaw and Grandpaw were working on painting our laundry room. I thought I'd do some exploring among the items from the laundry room that were being stored in our finished off room in the basement. Meowmy took a break and went looking for me. She couldn't find me. Grandpaw started helping her. Meowmy was afraid that somehow I snuck out when the door opened. Anymeow, meowmy went back down in the basement and low and behold Grandpaw found me. I was hiding behind a bunch of items underneath the coffee table. Silly meowmy! She gets all excited over nothing sometimes. I was just trying to have some fun with them and play hide and seek.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

First off, I wanted to wish everycat on here a Happy Memorial Day Weekend. I don't have a whole lot planned myself. I just plan to supervise meowmy, Grandmaw and Grandpaw tomorrow when they paint our laundry room. Maybe I can get out for a stroll sometime this weekend if the weather is nice. I've been going on quite a few strolls lately. It's a lot of fun. On Memorial Day, meowmy, Grandmaw and Grandpaw are going to a parade and cookout. Too bad cats aren't invited.

Today, I supervised meowmy while she washed down the laundry room walls and removed some cobwebs from the basement ceiling. There were quite a few of them. Now I'm just chillaxin downstairs and doing some bird and chipmunk watching near our patio door. There have been several robins out this spring near us. They look so tasty, but meowmy tells me they are just to look at and not to eat. Bummer!

Today I received an e-mail saying that I was a Daily Diary Pick. Thanks Diary Gal! I also wanted to thank all my furrends on here who have sent me p-mails and rosettes. It is very much appreciated.

Things are back to normal around here. I got to roam wherever I wanted to today. I took a really long catnap on meowmy's bed. I'm so glad things are back to normal around here.
