Five Thumbs DOWN!

There aren't enough thumbs in the world to be down enough. I'm upset and I don't even want Mommy to touch me. Poodie is gone. Poodie was my brother. He was my protector sometimes. He was just a great kitty and I don't want him to be gone! I want Poodie back!

Four Thumbs Down!

The one up is for Mommy and Daddy. I still love them. The four down are because there is a little kitty here! A new kitty! It's very small but I don't know that I want another kitty here. Mommy says he's a "foster" whatever that means.

Elora's seen him close up. I'm really just heard him. He sounds like a baby. I don't think I want any baby's around. Mommy said I was her baby....

I'm not sure about this at all!

Mommy moved my birthday. Why? Because she had before put my birthday on the same day as hers. But then she and Daddy would work for the day and then go out for the evening and so it would be just leaving me with the other kitties who don't really celebrate birthdays the way Mommy and Daddy do.

But this year, she moved mine to the day before hers. So yesterday, I turned 4. Mommy did have to work, but Daddy was home most of the day. And they were both home in the evening. When Mommy came home, she petted me and petted me. She gave me lots of attention until she fell asleep on the floor beside me.

When Daddy came back in the house, he brought me a present! It was a birdie toy that makes birdie noises! It's a lot of fun. (Even Poodie played with it. Everybody did!)

And then for our last meal of the day we got a great treat. (Mommy always likes to make it special on birthdays and holidays). We got moist food but not just one kind. Mommy and Daddy buy lots of different flavors and then give us each a bit of all of them. I tasted tuna and salmon and turkey with gravy and cheese and other stuff. 4 different kinds of food. It was wonderful! I like birthdays and holidays!

And Mommy and Daddy are leaving the door open again to their bedroom. So Lina and I can go in there. That's really nice. I'll try and be good and not pee on anything. Unless one thumb or two comes down.

4 Thumbs Up, 1 Down

And I'm not telling why the one down. Mommy and Daddy will just have to figure it out.

So why the 4 up? We're getting a kid! That's worth a couple thumbs up. The other ones are for my birthday! Mommy moved it to the day before hers because when we shared, I got lonely. She and daddy go out for dinner and leave us kitties behind. Is that anyway to celebrate a kitty's birthday? I'm glad she figured that out. So now, I get April 6th. I wonder what kind of toy I'm going to get? Oh, or what kinds of special foods? I love special foods. They are soft and yummy and Mommy and Daddy usually give us all different flavors. A spoon of each on every plate. So you get 4 different flavors in one meal. Cool.

Anyway, about the kid: The kid is going to come from Rusha which is way far away. Farther than where Lina's name came from. It's a big deal. Mommy even convinced Lina to put it on her diary and Lina doesn't HAVE a diary! She's the queen of mystery, remember?

Anyway, it's a lot of money to get a kid from Rusha, so do you think maybe you could help? Mommy really wants this kid, and I kind of remember how that was. I lost my kitty mommy when I was a week old. I don't remember what she looked like because my eyes weren't really open yet, but I remember how she smelled and how she sounded and I missed her when I was taken away. There were other kitties there though and I was glad. My brother was with me and there were 4 big kitties who helped the people take care of us and teach us like mommy kitties do. Mommy says those would be my foster kitties. But she said it's also like being in an orphanage because I was waiting for a forever family. My brother was too and some other family probably took him and adopted him. Mommy couldn't have too many but she fell in love with me and all my toes and furriness. So she brought me home and became my forever Mommy. That's what she's going to do for this little girl in Rusha.

We got a Daddy a little while later, but this little kid is going to get a Mommy and a Daddy at the same time. And just like I did, she's going to have 4 big kitties to help take care of her and teach her all the kitty stuff she'll need to know. Well, she'll have 3 for awhile because I just know Lina will hide from her for about 6 months or so.

Anyway, you can help this little girl to have a forever family with 4 big kitties (eventually) by going to Mommy and Daddy's adoption page (http://robandgabrielleadopt.no-ip.org). You can look around and see all about it, including ways to help.

Thanks!

I was tagged by my friend Snoogans!!

The rules:
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write on their own diary about the seven things and the rules. You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your diary.

My Seven Random Facts:
1. I have 23 toes, 5 thumbs.
2. I really like catnip mousies!
3. I kind of sound like I'm crying when I talk.
4. I sometimes get into "tiffs" with Lina.
5. I am fuzzier than my mommy expected when she got me at 11 weeks old.
6. I have 2 sisters now and one brother (and he's the best!)
7. I had to go get groomed today and Daddy let my carrier fall to the ground with me in it!

I tag the following cats on Catster:
O'Malley
Scurry
Lily
Burbank
Pearl
Winteridge I'll Follow The Sun
Dylan

I got a new friend! Hi Winteridge!

But also Mommy and Daddy moved the cat tree (one of my favorite places to be) into their bedroom! I don't know if it will stay there but I love it. I like to spend time in there in the morning while Mommy is getting ready to leave. Now I can do that and be on the cat tree!

This morning I made Mommy laugh. I ran into the room, started up the cat tree and turned right around and ran off it. It's a good thing it's sturdy! I can run right up to the top, which Mommy says is kissing height, but I don't let anyone kiss me much.

Oh, and guess what? I've been in the basement! The door has been opened for days! And no Rigby. He hasn't come up and he's not down there!

Ooh, and we got special dinner last night! I like special dinner. We get one every once in awhile, Mommy says on holidays and birthdays, so maybe it was a holiday. Anyway, we all get the same thing usually, soft dinners that are so yummy, served on little plates. Mommy and Daddy carried four little plates into the room where Poodie and Elora usually eat and set them on the floor. It was sooo good! Elora made a mess but we all made sure it got cleaned up. Not a drop was left.

I like holidays.

One down only because Daddy didn't shut the door well one night and Rigby came up the next morning.

But that thumb's on its way up again now because I can't find Rigby anywhere! Mommy and Daddy put him in a carrier that morning and came back without the carrier! (I hate the carrier too, so I hope to never see it again!) Then they went downstairs and when they came back up, the left the door open! Wide open! Lina was worried about that, too, but after awhile, I started to think about it. Rigby hasn't come to attack me. The door is open. Rigby is gone!

I think I'm starting to feel safe again! Wow. I might even try going down there this week just to make sure he's not there. And to see where he lived.

Now it's just the four of us kitties. Poodie is just the greatest! Elora is just too energetic and Lina is now the grumpiest kitty in the house. She's the queen, Mommy says. I'm the princess. She says Elora's a tomboy. And Poodie, is just a big teddy bear!

He's more fun than a teddy bear. Teddy bears are soft and nice to snuggle, like Poodie. But they don't purr or groom you. And they don't play with you. Poodie does, sometimes, and I never worry that he's going to hurt me when he does.

Mommy says she and Daddy are going away for a weekend in a couple of weeks and that Aunt Amanda will be watching us. That's good that someone will. I think I know Aunt Amanda a little. It's okay. Lina will hide, but I like seeing new people. Mommy says maybe I'll help sell the house!

Oh, that's right. We're going to move. We don't know when or where yet. Mommy and Daddy are fixing up the house (which means they are tearing it up and making chaos!) and then they will sell it and get a new one that's bigger so we can get kids. Kids. Not kitties. That could be fun. Mommy had some kids visit a couple of weekends ago. Nephew, she called on and Niece the other. They were nice. So I can deal with kids. Lina, on other hand....

Mommy and Daddy are talking funny in preparation for getting kids. They call us "kohshka" or "kohshkoo". Mommy has always talked funny, putting other languages in. Just look at Lina's name. It means "ice cream" in Czech! I think Mommy said something about getting the first kid from a place called Rusha. So kohshka must be Rushin.

Lots happening! So I don't know how often I'll be able to get on this computer to update. We'll just have to wait and see!

Four thumbs up! Only the smallest one down.

I think that's the third one on my right paw. Why is it down when the others are up? Well because life is pretty good. I don't have to worry about Rigby most of the time. (He was getting better at leaving me alone but then he became a horrid monster again. Mommy and Daddy are taking care of me though.) and I get to play with Lina, Elora, and sometimes big, sweet Poodie.

But if they let Rigby up, or when it's time to eat, I get locked away! Oh, sure it's two rooms. Sure, I've got two cat boxes in there, several toys, a scratcher house and a really big bed. I even get to snuggle with Daddy more because that's where he's putting all those papers and books now. All that sounds fine and dandy, but what about freedom!

I escape when I get the chance. During feeding time that's not a problem. Daddy lets me. Mommy has pretty much given up. But sometimes I get that itch to run free when it's not feeding time and that has proved dangerous on a couple of ocassions. Rigby.

He's very big and strong and he's so scary. He comes at me like a freight train. Mommy is the bravest, she just reaches right in there to grab him. She loves me. That's not what humans are supposed to do, especially when we cats have our claws (and we do. 41 between me and Rigby.) and sharp teeth and nasty attitudes. Rigby has been nasty, too, when they try and stop him. I can tell Mommy is scared of him when he gets like that, but that doesn't stop her. She reaches right in and grabs him and holds him to the floor until she can get a better grip to take him downstairs.

I hope that shelter Mommy talked to can help find him a new home. Lina sometimes throws a hissy fit, but that's all it is. She gets upset at Elora or me because she wants to do something or be left alone. Who knows. She never lets anyone know what she's thinking. But there's no malice in it. Annoyance, maybe. It's just not the same thing as what Rigby does. I hope he gets a calm and quiet home with no other kitties unless they're really big and tough. They they can hold him down and say, "No, I'm the boss." and maybe he'll learn to be nice again.

Four Thumbs Up

Life has gotten to be pretty good around here. Mommy and Daddy have gotten really good at keeping Rigby away. He still finds me sometimes, but they're quick to get him away from me. I don't even hide as long afterwards. I get two rooms to myself (or any of the other cats if they want in for awhile) when Rigby is upstairs, but most of the time he's downstairs.

Mommy is my favorite. She sleeps later than Daddy and I have fun helping her make the bed. But then she gets dressed and goes away. I try to lay on her clothes so she can't take them or stop her from walking away but she says she's got to go to "work", whatever that is. She puts on the kitty video before she leaves at least. It's fun to watch now and then. So when she's busy getting ready to go, I like to run around with Lina and Elora. We race around the rooms. It's a lot of fun, especially in the kitchen where it's slidy. Lina is quiet and sometimes looks so serious, but she's really a lot of fun!

Poodie is a sweet guy, but he's not as playful. Sometimes he is, but most of the time he's just lounging around while the rest of us run all over the house. (Except Rigby, of course, who is always crying from the door to the basement. He really does need a new home. Even I feel sorry for him cooped up down there. Though I still don't want him with me!)

Daddy comes home in the afternoons, usually, to have his lunch. Then he comes home before Mommy does later. He feeds us our lunch then. Most of the time after that he goes into the dining room and puts papers and books all over the table and studies. Mommy comes home later and has her dinner and then will play with us while she watches TV or reads. Sometimes she comes in the bedroom with me and Daddy lets Rigby up. Then it's just her and me, and I like that.

Belle, you are my princess! A precious doll. You are the sweetest kitty in the house and gorgeous on top of it. I don't think I've ever seen a poofier cat than you. And I couldn't be happier about it. I'm so sorry for the way things turned out for you with Rigby. I never want you to be hurt or feel scared like that. I love you and want you to be happy and safe. I want you to feel free to go anywhere in the house, to play with the other kitties and have fun. You are a joy to me.
