Still Getting Blamed for Everything!

So, the saga of the heated cat beds continues. Mommy bought me a new, er larger, heated bed because she didn't think I looked comfy in my old bed hanging over the sides. Well, the new bed arrived, and guess who decided it was theirs?!!? Of course! Lilly! So Mommy said to Daddy, "See, I told you, I should have ordered TWO!" So she went online and ordered another one. Now we have TWO new BIG heated beds. Lilly has hers, and I have mine. Just to liven things up around here the other day, I decided to switch beds. Do you think that Princess Lilly would go along with that and sleep in MY bed?!? NO! Of course not! So Mommy got all upset that Lilly didn't have her bed and tried to move ME back into my own bed (that's hard for Mommy to do, too, with her bad arm!) I was not happy, and to show my disdain for all this I am now sleeping on Mommy's bathrobe so SHE can't use it! I'll show HER! And, Lilly, of course, has already decided she doesn't want to sleep in HER bed -- she's sleeping on an afghan on the chair. Good grief. Can't a guy even sleep in peace in this house?!?!?

Home Sweet Home?

It was definitely NOT Home Sweet Home around here this weekend. Those rug rats, Amy and Jacob, came to stay for two nights and three days while their parents went away to "relax." Well, I hardly got to relax! Each morning I was woken up by Amy trying to comb me! And one of Jacob's few vocabulary words is "Cat," so every time he would say, "Cat! Cat!" everyone would quickly bring him into MY room to see ME!! Good grief! Poor Lilly got really tired of going under the bed! Amy and Jacob mercifully just left. It's actually QUIET around here. I might almost be able to hear myself purr again ... listen ... can you hear me????

I have been tagged by my beloved Tweak. I am supposed to list the five (only five?!) most annoying things my humans do. Then I have to tag five of my friends who are supposed to do the same thing.
Well, here's my list (in no particular order):
1. They always side with Lilly! Whenever we get into a little "alterCATion" they always cuddle "poor little Lilly" and kick me out of the room like it's all my fault! Geez!
2. Mommy thinks it's funny to tell people I am just "big boned" and "fluffy." Can I say "geez" again!?!?
3. They let the "Rug Rats" comb ME!!!
4. They go on trips and leave Ms. Looney Tunes here to take care of me and Lilly. Did I mention she put our litter box in the dishwasher once?!?! See, I told you, she is LOONEY!!!
5. Mommy won't let me use the computer by myself. How's that for a quick way to ruin a boy's love life?!?!

I've been tagged by my gorgeous wife, Tweak!

1. Do you ever wake your parent up in the night? Daddy calls it "the baby elephant walk" when I walk across him and Mommy during the night! I love to sleep with them!


2. Do you ever tear up things? Not really.


3. What is your favorite treat? A good "doggie chewstick"! I especially like the peanut-butter flavored ones! Yummmmmm .... just thinking about them makes me hungry!


4. Can you fetch something when asked to do so? Are you serious? Me? Do something you train a D-O-G to do?!?! Not likely!

5. Have you ever lived any place other than where you live now? Lilly and I were feral kittens. Our mommy was hit by a car when we weren't even a week old, but a friend of our vet's, Dr. Morris, was watching out for the feral cats, and he brought us and our brother to Dr. Morris. We lived at the vet hospital for about five weeks until Dr. Morris thought Lilly and I were big enough to come to our furever home with Mommy and Daddy. Our brother went to a different home.

My darling sister-in-law, Tweak and my brother Dashiell are thinking of starting a curling team (we have been so impressed by the Norwegians at the Olympics -- we want pants like theirs!). The Rain in Cannes ...

Here we are on the French Rivera, and it's raining! Good thing we brought our umbrellas! And it's a good thing I brought my cashmere robe -- it's been purrrrrrrfect for snuggling to keep warm. Now, if only Tweak would decide to model her new French bikini ...

How do you say "Delicious" in French??

Hmmmmmmmm, yummmmmmmm -- French roses are simply THE BEST!!!! I even convinced my Sweet Love, Tweaky, to try one too! I don't think she has quite the same taste for them as I do -- they can be an acquired taste, after all -- but there's nothing better than a little rose to nibble ....

One More Thing I Must do in Paris!

Mommy says the floral displays at the Georges Cinq are not to be missed. We need to be sure to get there -- they might have my favorites -- roses ---ummmmmmm, even with all this delicious French food, there is nothing better than a fresh rose!

Paris Day Two

Good grief! These girls can sure shop!!!! Shop and eat! Shop and eat!!! Good thing they brought their mommies' plastic along! I am in awe of my Tweak -- her resemblance to the Mona Lisa is mind boggling! I think the Louvre should have let us in for free! She can reproduce that "smile" purrrrrrfectly! And on Wednesday we are taking the train to Cannes. I sure hope Tweaky has picked up a cute little bikini for our beach days. I, of course, plan to eat well there -- fish? Did someone mention Cannes is on the water? That means fresh fish in my book! Tweaky, I am sure, will want to hit the shops there. Oh well. Why not? It is our anniversary next week. Maybe she'll find something "special."

Day 1 in Gay Paris!

Tweaky and I were pretty well rested from our trans-Atlantic flight. After all, what would we cats prefer to be doing than to sleep anyway? The tuna tartare en route was fantastic -- all the better being washed down with a sip of champagne shared by my Sweet Tweak. Today I suggest we climb the Eiffel Tower -- what better way to acclimate to the time change? Then we can run down and have a hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream and pastries! Yummmmmmmmm ....
Too bad these berets don't come with ear flaps, though ..
