Good-bye!

Hello everyone,

I was meowing like I was in pain so Mommy & Daddy took me to the vet. Seems I had crystals in my bladder. My kidneys could be shutting down with the blood they found in my urine. Also it would cost lots of money to temperarily fix me, and then I could get blocked again immediately. Then they'd have to start all over again. Mommy and Daddy had no guarantees and the odds weren't in my favor. I was in a lot of pain and surgery for me most likely would only push off the inevitable. So it came for my time to end.

Mommy and Daddy stayed with me. I was on pain meds, so I didn't feel the pain I was meowing about earlier. They held me and kisses me and petted me like I loved. They pet me while I was being euthanized. I purred until the end. They head butted good-bye to me.

(I miss you Enkil! Ink was a loving cat who headbutted you for pettings. He loved attention. Loved being brushed and loved fresh water from the tap. He'd jump in the bath tub and drink from the faucet. I'm so shocked from you being fine to not. This was unexpected. May you find happiness over the Rainbow Bridge.)

Buddie!!!

Thank you very much, Hazel Lucy for the rosette! I read about her and her fur-husband and gave them my best well wishes. She replied, "Hi Sweet Enkil, You are awfully kind to give us beautiful Rosettes! I gave you a whole bunch of treats. Thanks for your concern for Buddie!" How sweet is that?

Then her husband Buddie sent me a rosette too, saying, "Hey Enkil, Thank you so much for your prayers!! Enjoy your Rosette!" This is a cat that needs all us cats to get together and pray for him. He's strong in spirit and needs our support. If anyone can leand a comforting paw, prayer or rosette, that would be wonderful.

May Fly

Another nocturnal musing: I was chasing a may fly today. It got into the house and looked like a BIG mosquito! It was zigzagging around and I couldn't resist it. I was meowing in sporadic sounds. I chased it. Jumped after it. And played with it for a l solid hour. I finally caught it and it died under the pressure of my paw. I meowed for it to come back to life to play again, but it didn't. I stared at it, pawed it, but it didn't dance anymore. I'm mighty disappointed. Mommy at least petted my head and told me she was proud of me. Sigh!

I got a rosette from Sara. She's a most beautiful, orange long hair. She said, "you're so sweet (and handsome). I certainly won't forget about you when I'm famous!" Thank you for the kind words, Sara.

It seems I'm matting easily latly and I've had an extensive brushing today... I didn't like it one bit. I meowed my complaints over and over but still sat there and took it like a man. I have to be handsome and groomed, else lovly cats like Sara couldn't say such things about me. Sigh! It's a hard life.

How can I misbehaive when Dru seems to have that department covered. I tried a few things, but my family just thinks I'm cute and funny. I try to wake them and they just roll over and cuddle with me. I try to beat up Dru, and she can still hold her own. I try to meow protests about being brushed, but I know I have to be handsome. It's so hard for me to be the wild one. Sigh! Oh, well. As long as I have a fun, loving family and rosettes from kitty pals on Catster-life is good.

Wow! Thanks Reebok for your sweet words and rosette! Reebok wrote, "Hello gorgeous Enkil! Spring is in the air and it's time to get into mischief. It's much more fun than behaving! We get lovin's either way, right? Happy Spring to you and family from all of us!" Isn't that great? It inspires me to find some mischief right away!!

Mookie

Thank you so very much Mookie for my rosette! He called me handsome and sweet! He's a striking angel cat that I hope is playing with my Mom's childhood kitties over the rainbow bridge.

I've been doing okay. Keeping out of trouble. I've been just a bit of a pest waking Mom up in bed wanting pettings. But what else is a nocternal cat to do?

I've been wrestling with Drusilla more than usual. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a little more often. Must be because it's Spring, and there's new life budding everywhere, even in me!!

Loving the Rosette

Thank you so very much Miss Cassie for my Rosette you gave me!! You be sure to ahv a Happy Easter too, with all those chics!! Don't let Peyton see them or she'll want to play with them all day!!

Yesterday my Mom was babysitting the neighbor kids and they begged to come over to play with us. I got lots of pettings yesterday. I was very happy. They seemed to like Peyton best, but Dru and I loved the attention anyway. Mikayla was a scardy cat and hid the whole time. The dogs played too. Mainly, Kiara ran in circles wanting to be chased. All was good. But I'm glad the kids aren't areound 24-7.

Hiding forever

Thank you Owen Maxwell for giving me a rosette today! I appreciate you telling me not to hide.

First I was hiding from the visitors. Now I'm hiding from the storm and sirens. I'm just not myself. Everything is off kilter, so I'm under the bed or in the basement. I'm sure I'll be back to normal, just the extra choas has been too much for me.

Visitors for a week!!

Daddy’s sister has dropped off her babies for Mom and Dad to baby-sit while she goes to Florida for Spring Break. So for a week I’m sharing my home with a longhaired chocolate Chihuahua named Amigo. And a Sheltie with freckles named Derby. (Pictures of them will be up soon on the Dogs’ pages.) I have been hiding and haven’t come out yet to check these visitors out. I don’t know if I’m up for this.
