Arrival Story:
Ralphy, as he was called, at the rescue group, was in a cage at PetSmart. His sad story began when his older owner passed on and it seems the family members just let him out! They sold the house and the poor kitty was left to fend for himself. Luckily, a close neighbor loved cats and put out food for him till one day she was able to catch, and take him to a rescue group. His first adoptive family couldn't deal with his hiding and being afraid all the time, so they brought him back. Then, I spotted him, asked to hold him and as I reached in and pulled him into my arms, the woman was very surprised that he let me do this as he never likes to be held! Guess he picked me!! He did hide for a long time when he first arrived. I had 4 other VERY sweet kitty's then and knew they would help him feel safe. For all he must have gone through, he has become a BRAVE, loving kitty and a forever member of this family!!

Watching over Setzer

My brother, Setzer is going for an ultra sound next Thursday. He has been on meds for his hyperthyroid problem but now there is a movable lump there too. Toy, Setzer and September 9th, also Tinker will all be 9 years old.
Our Grammom has been in rehab for 3 weeks now but at 93 it is hard for her to do all the exercises. Mom and Dad visit Grammom everyday and try encouraging her to keep on so she can get back home. She has developed a cough so Dad alerted the nurse. Our Mommy woke up with a sore throat the other morning so it looks like something is going around.
I have been a very busy Angel Cat but as I found, arriving up here past the Rainbow Bridge, I have a very big family, canine and feline that passed over before me. We are all watching over our earth bound family and sending tons of butterfly kisses. =^Y^=

When I came to live with my family, most of the cats were elders and I was about 6. Since I was abandoned and rejected, I was a very sad and scared kitty. My new family had so much patience and love and the elder kitties knew just what I needed, LOVE. Now that I am the Elder I am giving back all I was taught. Tinker and Tang are the sweetest boys, TyGr is also sweet but is still learning respect. Toy???????????????well he has his good side and his crazy side is starting to calm down a bit. Setzer is very dog like and follows the humans around, he is a kind soul and is very loving.
I am also a close companion for our Grammom and spend many hours during the day keeping her company. I love it when she talks to me and shows me pictures in her book, Mom says we are good for each other. That is so true and my past crazy life has become a blur. I am now a lap kitty and I don't run and hide from every noise. This is my New Year's wish, THAT ALL KITTIES FIND SPACE IN SOMEONE'S HEART! Cherokee
