Hey....where'd my 'stuff' go??

Well, the strangest thing happened to me this week. I was forced to go for a ride in the car to a place where they put me in a cage - I think it's called the Vet. Not a very pleasant experience for a shy guy like me, for sure!

And then I fell asleep and slept really good for awhile. But when I woke up, I felt kinda funny. And after I had a look around and tried to clean that weird smell off, I noticed that some of my "stuff" was GONE! Hey, where'd my stuff go??? Could somebody please explain to me how and why my stuff just disappeared like that while I was sleeping?? I think I'm almost afraid to fall asleep again now! Guess I'll have to start sleeping with one eye open!

Oh, and ladies, please don't think that I'm any less of a stud kitty now just because I'm missing a couple of body parts. I'm still a handsome fella and a real sweetheart too.

Sorry if I sound a little grumpy right now, just not really feeling like myself today and still a little upset about the whole ordeal. I should be back to my same ol sweet self in a day or 2.

My First Trip to the Vet

Meow!!

Yesterday, I got to take my first ride in the car to the vet's office! I was terrified!! I howled all the way there! It did make me feel better than Emily was with me. And Mommy stuck her fingers in the door of our crate so we could touch her.

Once we got to the vet, Mommy took me out of the crate and held me tight, while she watched them take Emily's stitches out. I felt alot better when Mommy was holding me. I wasn't so scared then. But I buried my head in her arm so I didn't have to look at all the strange things around me and the strange people that were holding Emily.

Then Mommy handed me to one of the strangers and I just went limp all over. They kinda laughed at me when I did that. I think they must have expected me to go crazy on them, but I went limp instead. Then they put me in this tray thing that went up and down. And they told Mommy that I weighed 11 lbs. !! They also told her what a beautiful kitty I am and how soft my fur is, especially on my belly!!! They told Mommy that I am gonna grow up to be a very large kitty, and that I'm not even close to being done growing at 7 1/2 months old. They thought it was interesting that Emily is so much smaller than me (since we are littermates), but then she is a girl kitty, so maybe that has something to do with her size.

I heard Mommy talking to them about getting me neutered after the first of the year. They asked her if I was starting to spray or showing any signs of aggression, because if I was doing that, then I would have to get my surgery sooner. But Mommy told them we weren't having those problems yet, so unless I start doing that stuff, I won't have to go back to the vet until January.

The ride home from the vet was much better for me. I buried under the blankies in the crate and went to sleep. I was really happy to get back home though and go back to my room. The trip really tired me out, so I had to take a really long nap and try to forget about it all.

Maybe I won't be so scared when I go back to the vet in January now that I've made that trip once. We'll just have to wait and see......

Baby Teeth

Hi there,

I heard that Emily has lost 2 of her baby teeth and now I am nervous that mine are gonna fall out too. Mommy looked in my mouth and all my little teeth are still there. She thought it was strange that Emily lost hers first, since I am so much bigger than Miss Em. Mommy says that I am getting chubby and that I need to run and play more like Emily does. But I like to sleep alot and OH I'm so groggy when I first wake up. Mommy laughs because my eyes are all squinty for awhile after I wake up and she thinks it's really cute. I think I sleep alot because I am getting big so fast. Before long I will be as big as Grayson. I think I will grow up to be bigger than him someday. We got a new dog in the house named Tyler after Ollie Dog died. Tyler is very curious about us. He likes to follow us around and watch us. If he gets too close though I run under the bed and hide where he can't get me. He chased me one day because I got in his crate. He didn't hurt me at all, but he did scare me a little. I'm still a little nervous around him, so I try not to let him get too close just yet. Emily will march right up to him and rub up against him, and he doesn't hurt her or scare her, so I know that he's an OK dog. I'm sure I will warm up to him soon. Well it's time for another nap.....
