We Started The Calming Collar Club (Catster Group)

You might remember how I loved my Calming Collar. It helped me stay very calm on the 22 mile ride to the vet. (That's 22 miles each way! And a couple of times we were lost for 2 hours on the way home)

Calming Collars are made with herbs and your choice of fabric. Purrfect for cats and dogs that are frightened, skittish, stressed, nervous, can't get along with others, etc. So, we thought that a group here would be helpful. Share your thoughts about wearing your collar and see what others have experienced. Don't forget to mention "Hazel Lucy" if you order, it gets you a 10% Discount!

Here's the link for the club: CALMING COLLARS Group
The group is open to doggies too! Come join us!

Sometimes I see a background I like, or save a picture from an online search. The
current background is one I found a while ago. I don't remember if I borrowed it from
someone in catsterland, so if I have, please allow me to use it. And let me know who
you are so I can thank you! It's real pretty and conveys just the softness and gentleness
I wanted for my page.

Today is Mazie's 2 Year Anniversary in Purrsville!

You know the story. MAZIE is one of the ESPN kitties. She was large and very shy and needed to be the only cat in a home of her own. After I left for Heaven, I got together with my mangoman furhusband, Buddie. We Over shrimp dipped in catnip we met with Catsy and Sky, and a whole cloud of others who were concerned about mom. She was heartbroken when I left, though the grieving began when I was so sick with kidney failure. Whom would we send to her?

Mom had her own idea of where she would go to find a cat, yet within 24 hours she and Catsy's mom had it all set that Hazel Mazel (MAZIE) would come to live with her.

So there you have it, and now it's 2 years later. Please join me in saying "Happy 2nd Gotcha Day to Mazie!!!"

Margo RKN is sick

Oh no, sweet 3-legger Margo RKN is in tremendous pain. It hurts her to use the litterbox and she can't move her tail and she is limping. Margo is 9 years old now and we think the old injuries are causing nerve and bone problems. She has a ride to the vet today (Tuesday) if they will give her an emergency appointment.

Margo truly is RKN (Registered Kitty Nurse). Her momma has diabetes and Margo alerts to high and low glucose levels. She has literally saved her momma's life several times.

If you want to help Margo please pmail me. Here is Margo's blog: Margo's Mewsings

Update on Margo RKN

Margo is home. The handsome Vet gave her a steroid shot that should last 4-5 days. He thinks it's something pressing on a nerve, but he does not have a high-resolution X-ray, so the one he took didn't show anything. If the shot helps her he'll give her a longer-acting steroid shot. If it doesn't then she'll have to go to the University Vet Clinic. Laura-Lynne and Margo both like this vet. If she goes to the University Clinic she'll have a CaT scan.

Mom called Margo's mom and heard Margo talking in the background.
I sure hope and purr that the shot gives her relief. Margo's mom is very grateful for your purrs and prayers.

still worried,
Hazel Lucy

Morning Update on Margo RKN

From Margo's mom:
"Margo is doing great - I am so pleased! I can see it in her body posture. She has stretched out fully to sleep, and she hasn't done that in quite a while. The cortisone did make her restless. She didn't sleep too well, but more likely because I couldn't sleep."

If the next few days show this injection to be effective then Margo will go back for a longer-acting cortisone shot. Not sure how long that means, but to know that Margo doesn't have pain is wonderful. Continued purrs.
