Mitch loves to lay in the two best sun spots in the house - the dining room in the morning and the living room in the evening. He'll move with the sun to make sure he's staying warm!
Mitch HATES pens and pencils! He'll chew on them while you're actually writing!
Mitch doesn't play with toys very much anymore, but every now and then we'll catch him playing with one of the little fabric mice.
Favorite Nap Spot:
Most of the time, if he's not in the sun spot, you can find Mitch on the back of the sofa, between me and Daddy.
Mitch is EXTREMELY picky about food! He'll eat his canned and dry food plus cat treats and that's it.
Mitch can get the dogs to move with just a look. Sometimes he'll have to "say" something, but usually he just has to look at them!
I had lost my kitty of 5 years to an undiagnosed neurological issue in the fall and was feeling lonely without a cat in the apartment. When I came back from Christmas, I went to the local Humane Society and saw a cat that looked very much like my Nesta that I had just lost. That cat was not very friendly, though, but Mitch, this beautiful ginger tabby, was in the cage next to her and he was extremely sweet so I adopted him. He had been surrendered by his owner who couldn't take care of him anymore. Mitch was just over a year old.
Mitch has had numerous health issues in the 12 years that we've had him - 2 surgeries with both having very close calls of losing him - but he's never lost his sweetness and his love and tolerance of everyone. We have adopted and fostered numerous dogs and cats and Mitch takes it all in stride as long as we're still here to give him love and head-butts.
