Arrival Story:
Nancy was abandoned in December of 2008, while completely blind in one eye, partially blind in the other and pregnant, along with falling ill with feline herpes flare ups; Nancy was spayed and the kittens were aborted since it was still very early in the pregnancy. Before we could get Nancy in to see a veterinarian, she hung around outside our home for a couple of weeks, using our garage as shelter from the harsh weather; no one ever stepped forward to claim Nancy during or after this time.

Bio:
Concerning Nancy's blind eye, the veterinarian believes the cornea must have been severely damaged/injured thus was surgically stripped and covered, obviously she was someone's pet at one time. In September 2009, Nancy bumped and punctured her blind eye, causing the cornea to ulcerate which called for an eye removal. Nancy's remaining eye has some scarring on the lens, but the limited vision does not affect her quality of life.
