Mini and Mom now live in their new - old home. Mini LOVES it. She has lots of room to run aorund and is still exploring all the corners and nooks and crannies. Since Mom is still unplacking there's also lots of bits of paper and plastic to play with too - she seems to especially like foil and twist ties.
She also gets to go out as much as she wants and there's very little concern for dangerous cars - more concern for the neighbor's bully cat and wild animals.

No more vacations - yet.
Mom is away a lot on the weekends visiting her mom and her (new) boyfriend. Eric and I have the run of the place, but we miss her. She got us a cool cat house from Ikea, but it was on the bed and Eric and I got in it together and we managed to fall of the bed, so we're both a little shy of it now.
It's that time of year again when all the shiny ribbons and colorful paper start to come out and I just love to chew and chase around the ribbons and bows. I don't think Mom likes it so much, though.
Not much else to report. Oh - I just heard a noise, gotta go see what it was...

My brother, Eric, and I just got to spend 2 weeks at Mom's cottage. It was great! I never managed to squeeze out the door, but I did sit at the screen and watched all the little tantalizing critters outside. There were delicious red squirrels, tangy chipmunks and scrumptious birds out there. Truthfully, I don't know what any of them taste like, but I can imagine...
I did catch lots of bugs and moths inside the house, though. They were fun to chase around, but not that tasty.
There were lots of human visitors, which meant many hands to pet me and to give me treats! Chips, cheese, bacon, beef, weiner... My poor brother didn't like all the compnay though, he's scared and hid under the bed a lot.
It was really nice to have Mom around so much, too. We got brushed and petted and she played fetch with me. We even practiced the talents we have and she gave fishy treats! (We can "sit", "paw", and "stand up"!)
I very, very much hated the car ride there and back. We had to stop on the way there so Mom could clean me up. I feel so sick in the car! It doesn't seem to bother Eric, but he sure talked a lot. The way home was better. It wasn't as hot and Eric was quieter. I was still sick, and "somebody" peed in the car!

A lot has changed since the last diary entry. I have graduated from McGill, started a new job (career?!) in a pharmaceutical company, moved into an apartment (and left my boyfriend of 10 years), and lost a feline family member. (You can read about it on Puff's catser page.)
When I moved, Marc (my ex-boyfriend), wanted to keep his cat, Eric (Tigger's brother). That lasted for about 6 weeks and then Marc went on a trip. I was to look after Eric, so I brought him home and he has stayed. :-)
I did learn the error of my ways, calling Tigger "Lucifer" all these years. I should have been calling Eric that! He incessantly opens the kitchen cupboard doors and they bang shut at all hours of the day and night. He has broken one plate, one bowl and a few glasses jumping down off the top of the fridge. I guess it's not entirely his fault, there is very little counter space in my kitchen and he just HAS to hit the dish drainer on his way down. He also broke one of my glass canisters. That, too, is partly my fault as I stored cat treats in it for all of 30 minutes. But then he had to continue to eat the treats in amongst the broken glass. He even got the kitchen cupboard open and got right into the garbage can!!! He could have been hurt!
My sweeties are truly happy together, though, and in the end the humans are glad they are together, even if we can't be.

Tigger got in trouble today. I left some chips, in a ziplock bag, in the basment tv room, inside a basket, inside a cubby hole in the coffee table, and when I went back a couple hours later, the bag and all the contents of the basket were all over the floor! He actually didn't make a hole in the bag, though. So it was only low level trouble. LOL.

Well it is early Valentine's day - about 1:30 am. Being a cat and thus nocturnal, I am awake and bored. Yawn. Stretch. So I write. I spent a lazt Sunday sleeping in the sun on the window sill. I also batted around my sponge ball a few times, but there was no one to play fetch with today. the humans were all away. I slept a little after that tiring exercise. I watched the fish tank for a while, hoping I might catch myself a snack, but those fish are FAST! Mt brother and I had a wrestling match, then slept some more.
My human came home around supper time and I ate. YAY! I watched her cleaning up some hairballs and vomit someone (i won't name names) produced. I think I was pretty big help, brushing against her arm and hand, helping her scrub out the stains. I also meowed some words of encouragement. She also cleaned out all out litter boxes, but then out came the horrible noisy sucking machine. I ran and hid behind the TV until it was all over.
I think it was a pretty good day except for the vaccuum!
