Arrival Story:
We take donations to the local animal shelter (food, litter, paper towels) a couple of times a year and visit the kitties. Well, I when I read Kayla's little bio on her cage, I had them take her out, she was so happy to be out of the cage! She was about 6 - 7 months old at the time. The lady at the shelter called the previous owner because I wanted to know if Kayla had been tested for Feline Aids & Feline Leukemia. The lady said that she had not but that Kayla's mother had and she was negative. She also was SO relived that her baby had been adopted, she had cried herself to sleep over having to give up her kitty. I promised her that Kayla would have a good home - and she does! After we brought her home, she was a little scared of her new big sister Keely (and the other cats). Keely was like "Oh Boy! A new cat to play with!!' Kayla was not so sure and for the first few days she hid behind the computer desk (poor thing). Now she is a well adjusted and *extremely* playful/hyper cat.
