Lately there have been a lot of kitties having to get checked out because of lumps, bumps, discolorations, weird looking thingamabobbers and whoobewhatees. It's scary, we know. But we were just thinking how proud we are of all you parents that you're so vigilant, observant and persistent, that you check on it right away and get it either taken care of or at least get some piece of mind that everything is okay.
Us kitties can't tell you what's going on and we know that's so tough for you. If only we could talk (I don't think you'd really like that actually, MOL). After Kally Kat had her lump removed from her mammory gland mom sent out that video in her newsletter from a site she found on how to give your kitty a home exam. No one has ever told us they've done it, but we can already tell that you have and that you DO.
We just want to say bravo to you, you make us proud! So many people in this world absolutely could care less to examine our teeth, fur, eyes, ears, etc. They can't be bothered. Because you do these things on a regular basis, you are possibly preventing something or catching something early enough that could maybe have an impact on their health or even their lives.
You're all the best kitty parents we've ever met (cyber met, MOL). We just wanted you to know that, we're proud of you and we think you're all PAWSOME!
2 PAWS UP!!!
I often laugh and make jokes about our "Hover" parents... But you know what? It's really nice, that somebody cares about us and loves us enough to be on the watch.
P.S. Your diary is so important, I'm going to take your idea and paraphrase you :)
Hi Nuk! Yeah, we can act just like kids and say "ewww mom, leave me alone! Dad, stop it!" But in reality we LOVE it. MOL.
Oooh, we'll have to see what you write next!
The Pooper Snoopers..But you purred it well lovely angel Alex..if it were not for them we would not be in our forever homes and being cared for..
MOL, I like that! The Pooper Snoopers.
Hi Alex my dear bridge friend, mom is so furry glad that she found a place where other humans care about us as if we were "lil humans on four legs" Mom had heard stuff like, "leave her alone" "she don't like that" "she is just a cat" "cats do that" but mom knows that some times she has to do stuff to us we don't like and we are not "just cats" and not everything we do is cause we are cats, sometimes we want our pawrents to know what's up with us and we communicate with body language cause you humans cannot understand our "talk" well after almost 20 years mom did pretty much know what I was tellin her. Mom ws blessed with me and my good health, never had a health issue until my ole kidney's gave out, well and there was the one time she had my teeth cleaned.
SURE it's all well and good until they are dragging you to the vets for no good reason! grrrrrrrrrrr!
This is a truly beautiful entry though, we should be really thankful to our crazy parents. They put up with being labeled as 'crazy cat people' to love us the way they do! I love my mommy, even if she did force me to go to the vets today for no good reason. I guess if there HAD been a good reason it would have been worth it, but there wasn't! MRAT!
Hmmm. Guess I have all dis fun to look forwards to, huh? Mommy already checks me over from head to toe every time her visits me. I squirms an squeals an wiggles but her don't stop. Dis is really a GOOD thing for her to do to me? Oh noes!
Mommy sez I need to listen to yew, yew are a verry wize kitty wif a verrry wize Mommy. Plus, yew iz reeely sweets an' we luvs yew bunchies.
I think that is pretty true - even though our pawrents may be a little too hovery for some of us sometimes, they do end up doing a pretty good job!
I LOVE my mommy!! I am all up in her face whenever I'm not busy napping!! Catster moms RULE!! Luv, Tink
Alex, thank you for this wonderful entry! This is so true. Sometimes there are mean humans who shoot us or humans who say "they are just animals" (last time I looked humans were animals, too!). All the loving moms and dads are very very special. All the kitties and their families who supported us when we were so scared are the very best! Also special are the passers-by who stop. I have noticed on the kitty news and in my local TV there very special people who stop for animals they do not even know because they care. I am alive because someone did that and Susan and her mule, Black Jack, will always have a very special place in my heart!
Pawsum dia ree alex N may I toss ina good werd for our pal st francis two who helps out when de going getz reeely tough :)
Catster parents are the BEST! Yay!!!!!
MOL, sorry Simone. I know you are still SMARTS right now with your mommy. She'll make it up to you by rubbing your Moe Moe Belly that you love so much. Hi everyone!!! Nice to see you! Catster parents ARE indeed the best Sterling and they also make the best friends.
Tabbies, you go right ahead and hoot one for St. Francis. Mom loves him. She's been looking for a garden size statue of him to put outside but can't really afford it right now. Every summer she says she's gonna get one. We love how he gave up all of his riches to live and serve with the people.
Miranda, you especially have PAWSOME parents. We knew right away when we met you guys that we'd love you all. Anyone who would go so far for an abandoned beautiful little girl like you, is tops with us.
Put your paws in the air for Catster parents!!! Whoot Whoot! MOL

We so agree Alex. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Mom always asks tons of questions, even for the humans at the doctor. It is amazing to see just how excited Mom got this afternoon when I made a really big pee! mol!hugs Tig
