June is PAWTY month! An announcement

Okay kitty poohs! It's official. This is going to kill us but we're going to have 3 parties! Next Saturday the 11th is my birthday party, which will begin at around 6:30/7 pm. I'm starting it at that time so we can all don't party our brains out and then it dies out before any west coast kitties get there. Also you'll notice all these parties are on Saturdays so no one has to get up for work (well hopefully no one).

We're going to have it outdoors with Japanese lanterns, some sushi, other party stuff and of course lots of dancing and even some games. I've already changed the scenes on my profile page to match. Finney's is the 18th and on the 25th we're having a Michael Jackson party!

Bring your friends and get lots of sleep the night before, MOL. We'll send out another reminder this week but also don't forget to UNCHECK the notifications box if you don't want to receive 1,000 emails because it will happen!

Here's a little something to get you all ready. I guess this is about me! MOL
Party all the time

Opinions needed please

Know why my new picture on my page is raining? Cause I'm crying cause we missed Gump's big day. Furry upset! Mother nature sure is a meanie in so many ways. She should never have made that big tornado thingy and hurt all those people and animals! AND she made us run up and down the darn stairs to the basement! DRAT!

Anyways, that's just a vent, not what I need help with, MOL. What I'd like to know is this. My birthday is on the 17th of this month and Finney's is on the 12th. Should we have each a separate party or should we combine them? We'll have the parties on Saturdays cause mostly we never get to see any west coast kitties if we have it on the week day and night.

AND don't forget about our Michael Jackson party we are having on Saturday the 25th of this month, which is the anniversary of him leaving planet earth for somewhere else. That is for SURE. So what should we do about our birfdays? Do you think we should have 2 separate birfday parties so we can both have our special days or will that be too much partying? 3 from us in one month. Let us know okay? We need to make a decision soon.

Luv Lacey

Here's an article about 2 of the deadliest tornadoes we've ever had in New Hampshire. One was just in 2008. NH tornadoes. The 2008 one was actually being studied by scientists for years because of how long it stayed on the ground and how long it was: tornado path.

Here are actual pictures of the damage from that tornado. The town where it hit is only about 30 to 35 minutes away from our house. pictures of damage

The damage in Massachusetts isn't that far from us in southern NH. Here in New England our states are small and close together. It doesn't take long to travel over the border like in the midwest. This, for us, is too close to home.

Though we were under tornado warnings all day and evening yesterday, we were extremely lucky and cannot convey that enough! We are so saddened for the losses and devastation they've suffered there. We're purring and praying for everyone in those affected areas and can only imagine what you're going through.

If anyone here on Catster is from Monson, Sturbridge, Springfield Mass. and all of those affected areas, we pray that you and your family are alright.

OMC! Tornado watch here

OMC!!! Mommy just now got a storm warning in her email from our local weather that there's a tornado watch until 8 pm right in our area! What the heck is going on? We never get tornadoes here! Oh man, that's scary stuff. Now I feel like you guys all do. Mom says she's going to get the carriers out just in case. But we have a really sturdy basement so if we have to, she can bring us down there. Grammy will lose it! She can't even take hearing a small clap of thunder.

Wow, such weird weather, this is not usual for us. But in the last couple of years it's getting more and more so. So I hope our power doesn't go out and we don't miss my sweet Gumpy's 17th birthday pawty! I hope not, we will be so bummed!!! So just in case, if you don't see us there right away or at all, the power might have gone out. Doesn't usually happen here, we're on the same power grid as the hospital down the road so it's pretty rare we lose any power.

Me and Finney have started eating better again, although right now it's super humid and mom is gonna put the a/c's on. But the weather is gonna cool way off starting tomorrow so we'll be better. Finney does have a little bit of brown boogies in his nose but not much. Mom's been giving us lysine and vitamin B12 so that's really helping.

Gosh everyone, I'm furry nervous about this weather! Jeez! What next! Thank catness our wonderful friend Monster got me a new carrier as we only had one before. Our Catster friends are the BEST in the world!!! Mom feels so much better knowing if anything happened she wouldn't have to scramble as much.

Well, hopefully we'll be around for awhile, the sun is out right now and not a cloud in the sky. But you guys in tornado country know that means nothing! Sending out purrs to any of you also that might be in this area! Hunter! I hope your mommy is reading this!!! Hunter only lives about 30 minutes from us.

New holiday backgrounds

Hi everyone! Check out our new holiday backgrounds. It's on ALL of our pages, Alex's too. You can also check out mom's pictures she took last weekend at our local Veteran's Park. If you look close at the names on the granite, George Provost, is my mom's daddy and the name Maurice Provost, a few names down, is his brother. Maurice was shot in the head in WWII and needed a metal plate for the rest of his life. He got the purple heart.

I hope everyone is safe after this week's horrible weather all over. Don't worry guys (especially Blizzard), we didn't get anything in southern NH. It was all way up north on the border with Vermont. They got it bad! Flash flooding, severe thunderstorms, etc. But we didn't even get a cloud in the sky.

It was hotter than Hades on a toothpick though. I have no idea what that means, I just made it up, MOL. Mom is cooking hamburgers on the grill right now so if any fur wants some hamburgers, hot dogs, trout burgers (hint to Tabbies), feel free to come on by! We'd love the company! Mom will make some fresh, cold salmon water for everyone! Okay mom...those hamburgers are WAYYYY too small! Let me do that.

Hope you all have a SAFE and FUN holiday weekend! Bless our troops and keep them safe and out of harms way. Bring them home TODAY!

Me and Finney are going to play in the bathtub now. It's already 85 and burnin' my hide.

Okay guys! I just saw the weather. It's probably good that I'm doing this cause we live in NH and we're not having bad storms, just minor thunder boomers. Our power isn't going to go out so we'll have my diary access all day and night.

Oklahoma has More than a few SEVERE super storm cells already in a line heading for OK City, right now at 4:30 Easter time! Please keep the weather on your tv and/or radio at all times and make sure to let us know you're safe and even let us know when you've got to head for cover so we have some idea of what's going on.

Everyone can come here to say some purrs for the others, huddle up and be together. I did have the tornado check in thread going but honestly, I get more kitties coming here to my diary so we'll do it here. Which is fine with me anyways, I love everyone coming to my place!

Stay safe and don't take any chances! We love you all furry much and we cannot stand the thought of anything happening to you. Oh boy, just saw the weather again. That looks FURRY FURRY BAD in Oklahoma! Please anyone in that area, check your radio and tv and get to safety, it looks like some tornadoes are already forming!

Lacey & whole furmily!

PLEASE PURR FOR ALL KITTIES AFFECTED, right now that's Tink- & her mommy!!!

OMC, Tink just pawmailed me and they had to go into the cellar, the sirens are going off right now. Blizzard pulled up the radar and there's a major storm right over them and dopplar is reading a strong cell!

OH MAN! I promise to either post as soon as she pawmails me or she may see this and post after they're okay! Oh gosh, we're so scared.

Please purr for every kitty, parent, child, dog and all animals. This is going to be a bad night.

Firebug update

Hi guys! So I told you that mommy sent an email to the mayor just the other day saying how concerned she was and asking if anything was being done about all these arsons. Well she got an email the very next day from the chief fire investigator telling her that they are devoting a lot of resources to it and there are some things he'd love to come over and talk with us about. Mom was like "huh?" MOL!

Anyways, she emailed him back and said she would talk to grampy first cause he's a stubborn old coot who has to think everything is HIS idea first. So right now actually while he's dealing with his bloody eyeball (see Finney's diary), it's a good time cause he's got to rely on everyone else, heh heh. Sneaky mommy. Mom says after 45 years of dealing with him, she knows how to do it.

So anyways, the fire guy wrote her another email today and said this:

"Hi Lisa, Sorry I did not get a chance to respond to you again yesterday. The City of Manchester Fire and Police Department have been and are devoting a lot of resources to these fires. Some things I can not discuss with you what we are doing but, I promise you that we are out there. We have been successful in taking a number of people off the streets that are responsible for these fires and have closed a number of cases. We are actively working the open cases and are hoping to have more people arrested in the near future. Please feel free to contact me on my city cell phone so that we can discuss any concerns that you may."

Mom was pretty impressed, he gave his cell # and everything. She didn't know they had made any arrests at all! It was never on the news! So that's where it stands right now. Mom knows he can't give details and that's okay. she lived with a cop for 5 years, she knows investigations have to be on the "down low". She just wanted to know if anything was happening about it. So she's feeling better about it and told him she will contact him soon about coming over to talk to us. I think he wants to talk about fire safety and stuff which is great. That'll make mommy feel better and grammy too.

She thanked him and said she was very grateful he took the time to respond so fast and that he's offering his help this way. It's refreshing to see that they care.

So that's our news update on the local arsons around here. We feel a little bit better and hopefully now that mom knows they are out there patrolling and making arrests, it won't be so scary every time we hear sirens. We'll keep you posted, thanks everyone for your purrs! Those things are MAGIC!

Luv and huggies

More fires, closer to our house now - please purr the firebug gets caught!

Well this is getting furry scary. The arson that happened last month or so was about 1/4 of a mile down the hill from our house, near the hospital! Now there were TWO last night and they were both literally a couple of blocks away. They lit a porta potty on fire at a really nice baseball field for kids near us and while the fire department was there putting that out, they lit someone's garage on fire and almost burned down their house!

It's a good thing our friend Monster bought me that extra carrier but we're really worried now that we're gonna have to use it. It's pouring rain here all day today and chilly. Gonna be like this all week. I guess the only reason that's good is it's too wet to catch anything on fire!

This is getting awful and we can't understand why they don't catch this guy after TWO years of this. Since the beginning of 2011, they've started 24 fires all on our side of town! Can you all please purr that they catch this nut? We're getting furry, furry nervous and scared!

Our house and garage is really old, 90 years old. So if they were to set anything on fire here we're afraid it'll go up super fast! Ohhhh, we don't want anything to happen to our house or anyone else's either! They need to be caught and to stop the madness!

Please, please, please purr they get caught right away okay? Enough is enough, they're going to hurt someone or worse!

Animal Bill of Rights

Hi everyone, we're very impressed with all of your participation in signing petitions for animals lately so we have another really good one that needs to be signed! This is the Animal Legal Defense Fund: Animal Bill of Rights.

Some of you might have already signed it via our website newsletter but for those that haven't please go and sign this so when it goes to Congress there will be literally sheets of signatures. So far there's 277,145 and counting! Let's take care of our own! We need to speak up when they can't.

Also, if you want to stop by, there are some really important petitions that need signing. Some brand new ones that have been put up in the last few days that need to be supported.

Thank you guys!

P.S. we put up some new pictures of us recently but it was tornado day and there were more important things going on, like friends checking in with us. So I don't think anyone saw them if you'd like to look at them. We don't have a single comment yet.
