Tomorrow will be my third Bridge Day. Mama has tried not to be sad, but she spent a lot of time today thinking about our time together. Ten years seemed to fly by for both of us.
Mama's heart was broken when I had to leave her and daddy, but she was so grateful to have had me for her beautiful little girl. Mama and daddy both know their lives were better for me being in them.
Mama always says that sending Gunnarr to her and daddy was my little joke. Oh, my; he was a wild child! He has grown up and settled down some, but he is still a boy...
I knew mama needed another fluffy girl, but Peekie wasn't born yet when I had to leave. Later I guided mama to the photo of sweet little Peekie, and she fell in love. Yes, it was partly because Peekie looked so much like me as a kitten, but mama knew even then that Peekie is not me. After all, there could only be one Miss Muppet.
Mama fought with herself, but she couldn't resist Peekie, so finally she asked daddy if he thought they could travel with two kitties. Daddy thought about it for awhile and then said he could fix the truck so two kitties could ride in their carriers.
When mama called about Peekie, she worried that someone else had applied to adopt her. Not one single person had even inquired about the beautiful little kitten, so mama adopted Peekie, changing her name from Petunia to Peekaboo.
Goodness, that's when things got interesting. I was almost worn out from watching over the two kittens. Gunnarr was wild and crazy and completely infatuated with Peekie. Under my careful guidance, the two kittens soon became very close. I love to watch them wrestle, snuggle, and bathe each other.
The most wonderful thing is the change it made in mama and daddy. They both think about me often, and there is a huge picture of me in the living room, but now they mostly remember the happy times. They also love and cherish Gunnarr and Peekie the same way they cherished me.
My first assignment as an angel was a tough one, but I kept working until I got things just right. Two wonderful kitties have a forever home, and mama and daddy have two beautiful kitties to love and care for.
Glad that your momma and daddy can remember the good times - that's what matters.
We're so glad your Mom and Dad have such wonderful memories of you. You did a wonderpurr job getting Gunnarr and Peekie to your Mom and Dad
