Amazing Daddy Is On His Way Home

Daddy has been gone this week. He has been in Palm Springs with all the Finance people from around the world that work at the company he works for. I miss him. But he is on his way home right now!

This is the first time Daddy has been away from us for more than a day. We look for him but can not find him. But we had lots of fun with Mommy while he was gone. Daddy missed us alot too.

Daddy's team won the Amazing Race that is company put on. It sounds like they put alot of thought into it and Daddy had lots of fun. His team of 6 won by 5 minutes.

Wellness Healthy Indulgence Entrees for Cats

Mommy bought us Wellness Healthy Indulgence Pouches to try in the Grain-free Turkey and Chicken Recipe. She wasn't sure if we would like eating chunks or just lick the gravy around them.

We LOVED the pouches!!

We actually ate the chunks first. YUM! And then lapped the gravy. Our bowls were licked clean. We are going to split a couple of pouches a day and eat our Wellness canned the rest of the time.

Burp

Mommy fed us but left the 1/2 filled 3oz can on the counter while she ran down the stairs to get something quickly. I'm just as quick! And I'm quiet. I got up there (we are allowed on the counters) with the speed of a panther. Mommy came back to find me enjoying a little extra. I didn't even run when she came in the room. She started laughing. She was actually proud of me, that I was so quick. It was her fault, not mine. She pet me and took the rest away. I let out a little burp. (excuse me) I will be getting less my next meal but it was worth it. Mommy told Daddy about me and he got a kick out of it too. Everything we do is SO cute. MOL!

Mommy made a contribution for us in honor of all our Catster friends.

Lamp Down!

OOPS!

This morning I went to wake up Mommy so she would remember to feed us our 4am breakfast. I patted her with my paw and she told me how many minutes we had left. I saw she had left her glasses on the nightstand so I started playing with those. She put them in the drawer and told me how many minutes we had left. I then ACCIDENTLY knocked over the lamp on the nightstand and it fell on the pillow right above her head. Luckily it missed her head. I couldn't blame it on Zoey as she was across the room. And I actually sat there at the scene of the crime. I did hear Mommy holding back from laughing. She was smart enough not to get up right then as I would think everytime I knocked over the lamp, we would get breakfast.

Our routine is that Zoey and I start playing around 3:30am, have breakfast at 4am and then are totally wild for a couple of hours. Since Mommy is able to go back to bed later when she wants to, she decided to just let us start our mornings early like we wanted to.

Oh and the lamp is fine!

P.S. I forgot to let you know that last week, Zoey taught me how to do bird chattering. I surprised everyone one evening by chattering while we were watching the birds. Of course Zoey is the louder chatterer as she is a girl!

Pawty at Newman's!!

Newman turns 2 years old today. His parents are gone for the weekend so PAWTY AT NEWMAN'S!! There are many cats coming so bring plenty of food. It is not everyday Newman turns the terrible twos. I think it is going to be a LONG year for his pawrents. MOL!!

We got our prize in the mail today. We received a Play N Squeak "Tethered & Feathered" Play wand toy and we both loved it. Our fav toys are wand toys and this has to be our new favorite. It is a cute furry mousie with feathers on a great wand for Mommy to hold. The mousie looks real and squeaks when we go after him. He already got a good workout from us. We LOVE it!! And so does Mommy.

For Our Viewing Pleasure

On the first floor we enjoy watching the hummingbirds out on the banana tree right outside the window. On the second floor we have the deck lizards to entertain us. On the third floor is where we have the best view of all the birdies flying around.

Right before sunset is the best time to watch the birdies. They must all be flying home to be with their families. Yesterday we were on The Mondo together watching the birdies when Zoey jumped off The Mondo on to the windowsill. She was all excited about something. Then I saw what she was all excited about! It was a baby bird that came to sit right on the outside window ledge. Zoey was chattering away. So much so, that she was steaming up the window. I was very quiet and still, as a good hunter is. The bird looked right at Zoey and was not scared at all. It should have been. We know that the chattering isn't bird talk, it is when a cat kills prey, it bites down quickly several times. The "chatter" is simulating the cat's behavior at the time of attack.

Late at night Zoey is always looking out this one window on the second floor at these trees by our house and that must be where some birds nest at night. You should see her with the wand toy with feathers on the end like a bird. She catches her prey and walks away with it in her mouth. Mommy has to follow her around with the wand!

Our First Lizards!

Mommy told me the story of Angel sis Rocky Ann having a lizard friend on the 2nd floor deck that she use to watch from the sliding glass door. Yesterday I saw her lizard friend and she brought her brother too! So I had 2 lizards to watch on the deck. I had them to myself because Zoey was taking a nap. I was frozen in place as not to scare them and I watched them for a long time. I was sorry that Zoey missed all the fun.

But today, Zoey got to see her first lizard! We were on top of a 3rd floor Mondo watching for birdies when we both spotted a lizard crawling on the tile roof below our window. He actually crawled up to our window. Zoey was so excited. That girl can not sit still nor be quiet. She was bird talking to the lizard! We will be watching our deck again this afternoon for our new friends.
