Hello Kitties Mine

Well, it's that time again, the time where my dagger claws are in full bloom and there's NOTHING anybody can do about it! hehehe! DAGGER CLAW!!!

Because I was declawed by some horrible no good very bad person who mommy says she'd personally like to return the 'favor' to before I was rescued, I'm very sensitive about my back claws. Super sensitive. More sensitive than any kitty mommy has ever known (and we all know how much we kitties love having our back claws clipped!)

Well, as a result, no one can cut them. It's just impossible, they've tried everything, and mommy has a flesh wound across the palm of her hand this morning that says last night, she tried again! hehehehe! NO LUCK! I am the great Simone and none shall touch my dagger claws! Actually, that's not even a little true, I don't even mind a little bit people touching them, just don't get the clippers or I go bazookas! The only way to get them cut is to take me to the vet because I mellow enough there that the vet and one of her techs are able to get them cut. This is fine, until we are overdue for an appointment.

Even I have to admit, they are getting a little long. I'm getting stuck on stuff when I walk and people don't seem to like me snuggling on their laps or next to them in bed as much, evidently, I'm very pointy. What's a girl to do? I can't let them cut my claws, but I want my snuggles. Suck it up mommy and daddy! Cuddle the princess even if it means you bleed a little, it's not that big of a deal, it's just a little boo boo! Aren't my purrs more than enough comfort?

I was front declawed before Mom and Dad adopted me, and I don't like my back paws touched - though I don't fight quite as much as you.

Don't let my Mom and Dad near you. They help clip claws for the shelter they volunteer for and are pretty good at clipping - even the feisty ones!

Hmmm, meowmy never has trouble clipping our nails...does that make us 'wusses'?

Take care of your Mommy. remember the saying not to bite the hand that feeds you? Or in this case daggerclaw the hands. MOL!

Nah, you aren't wusses! hehehe! River is a baby doll, mommy just holds him in her arms and cradles him like a baby and snip, snip, snip, snip, all four feet. He gives her sad eyes but doesn't even pull his paw back. He's spoiled her! I on the other hand WILL NEVER BE TAMED!!!

Mommy is pretty understanding of me, she knows I have baggage. She felt bad last night after she tried because I cowered in fear for the rest of the evening, she said I looked literally terrified of her and that made her feel bad, she just doesn't want me to get stuck on things or cut myself when I scratch because my claws are such monster daggers. Guess I'm going to the vets tomorrow to get them trimmed! Ho hum...

Mommy and Daddy have to make me into a purrito in order to trim my nails. Daddy wraps me in a big thick blankie and bear hugs me so I can't squirm away. Then Mommy lifts one paw at a time outside of the blankie so she can trim my nails. Oh, I can't stand to have my nails trimmed, but I think I would really freak out to go to the V-E-T to have it done ~ eeeek!

I have to get wrapped up in a towel to get my nails trimmed. It is not fun!

EEEEK~! No no NO do NOT touch my nails wif a timmer! NO! Giggles! I had mine done at da Vet once. Milo used to be jus' like River 'n lay all cuddled upside down in mommy's arm 'n a complete gentlecat. Now since I came, No way! So da vet trimmed his too but since mine haz not been updated 'n I too got Dagger nails, her won't cut hiz coz he needs 'em fur defense! MOL she says! Since Milo was sick wif him eye 'n had to go to da Vet, my turn is next 'n gotta get my rabies anywayz 'n guess, sigh, will get my nails cut too! NO!~ Hehee, Charlie I would shred a towel~!!! Natasha I don't efen think two peeps would be able to hold me down!!

Mom and Dad should just suck it up! Purrs are worth anything...
I'm the ..Wonder CAT..cuz, they can do anything with me.....
Guess, I was really well trained as a kitten...So glad to find old people to take me in. I wasn't doing well, as prairie barn kitty. I had lived a life of luxury! Before some ugly hooman dumped me in the country! precious

I understand purrfectly! I do have all my claws but whenever a human puts their hand in front of my face I totally freak out. There's a white spot on my muzzle surrounded by my black fur and meowmie thinks some bad nasty person hit me back before I was rescued from the streets. So baggage is baggage and we just learn to live with it. When nice cat people come over meowmie just tells them the "petting secret" if they want to get close to me. We have our boundaries and that's that!
