Cat Writers’ Association Annual Conference is “Live in 2025” – Join Virtually or Live in Indianapolis, USA

Are you a cat content creator? Do you know writers, radio/television/web journalists, artists, or media personalities who promote cat welfare? Would you like to learn how to better market your cat business?

Join the Cat Writers’ Association (CWA) for two days of cat-centric activities, October 24-25, in Indianapolis, IN. This year marks CWA’s 31st Annual Conference, a significant milestone reflecting the organization’s enduring commitment to supporting and elevating the craft of cat-centric communication.

2025 Conference Speakers - CWA

The Cat Writers’ Association has assembled esteemed experts to present workshops on an array of cutting-edge topics, including:

  • Starting and Managing a Successful Cat Writing Business
  • Making Money as a Freelance Writer
  • Marketing your Creative Work
  • AI as Your Muse, Critic, and Co-Creator
  • Improving Your Writing with Authoritative Sources
  • Confidence On Camera, In Person, and In Life
  • Tips on Becoming an Effective Speaker
  • Writing to Save Cats, and
  • Update on Cat Nutrition

There is also a virtual conference option, with two full days of workshops, for those unable to attend in person. Both live and virtual attendees will have access to recordings of all the sessions for 30 days after the conference.

Special Events and Festivities

Those attending in person will enjoy several special events and festivities. The fun starts Thursday evening (October 23) with a light dinner and “Gift Bag-Stuffing Mixer”, included in your conference ticket price. Meet up with old friends and get to know new cat-loving creators at this informal event, featuring a light dinner and soft drinks/beer/wine. After the Friday workshops, we’ll keep the celebration going during our “Friday Night at the Movies Mixer”. Your conference ticket price includes dinner, movie snacks, soft drinks/beer/wine, and a special screening of the official Cat Video Fest, curated for us by Cat Video Fest co-founder and CWA member, Will Braden.

On Saturday, we’ll have free admission to the Annual Indy Cat Club Cat Show, where several CWA-member authors will be selling/signing their books. A light lunch will be provided.

You may also purchase a CWA Awards Banquet ticket for our Saturday evening formal reception and Awards Ceremony Gala. The Awards Banquet includes the reception, sit-down dinner, and open bar.

About the Cat Writers’ Association

Incorporated in April 1993, the CWA is a professional non-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in writing and communications about cats. Our membership includes not only authors and journalists in all media, but photographers, artists, illustrators, broadcasters, podcasters, vloggers, social media influencers, and other communications professionals, all of whom have a special interest in the feline world. We welcome those who have been paid for their work to join as Professional Members and all others to join as Associate Members.

  2. This is going to be a great conference! And you get access to recordings of all Friday and Saturday sessions for 30 days afterward. The in-person one will have plenty of networking and learning opportunities, some fun events, and great food & drinks! If you can't attend in person, the virtual option is still available. But hurry – tickets to the live conference are only on sale through September 30!
